A part me still thinks that Trump is a Democrat mole. His mission is to bring down the GOP.

Well, he has been a close friend of the Clinton's for decades and was still very close to them last year even after the start of his campaign. For him to run as a republican (he returned to the GOP recently and had changed his party numerous times) during an election in which his dear friends are expected to lose to any other republican candidate (even the ones as crazy as Cruz) it certainly makes it hard for me to believe he isn't trying to sabotage the GOP to give Bill and Hillary the White House again. This is a man who claimed Hillary did a good job as Secretary of State. He rarely attacked her until near the end of Fall when he was called out for how close they were. No one can honestly switch their opinion of a person they've been friends with for nearly half their life that quickly when nothing about them has changed.

His entire campaign has been focused on empowering a small portion of the GOP with rhetoric that turns the rest of the party and all the democrats against him. It's obvious that this is a losing strategy for anyone who hopes to win a general election. Trump is a brain dead moron when it comes to a lot of things, but the one thing he's good at is manipulating people so I'm willing to bet he's aware of how stupid this strategy is and he's running his campaign like this on purpose.

The only problem Hillary might face that wasn't expected last year is that a large number of democrats rallied behind Bernie and refuse to vote for her. She's divided her own party almost as much as Trump has done to the GOP. Even still, I can guarantee you Trump will continue his circus show to alienate more voters faster than Hillary.

Your attention span is amazing guys. Hillary and Trump are like two fat jokes that go right over your head so long as they throw you some pop rocks every once in a while. "OMG, Pop Rocks! Ok, I'll take Hillary and Trump seriously for two more weeks, derp."

You do realise that the majority of the Republican Party and their voters want Trump. That's why the #NeverTrump were quickly kicked out of the GOP convention. And who gives a fuck about what the Dems think about him? They're probably going to be voting for Hillary because Bernie endorsed her and they're idiots.

Yeah, this plagiarism is very foolish, even (or especially) if it only happened on a small amount of the speech.

However, Trump has been stealing Obama's ideas for a long time. The policies that Obama has are parroted by Trump and then Trump gets all of the respect by people who hate Obama. It has happened many times and only people, like my mother, who pay attention to each side figure these things out.

I honestly wish people would stop following politics. Everything about these candidates and media presence of the presidents themselves is basically repeated again and again. I don't understand why support increases or decreases when everything is just a repeat of what already happened.

It's ironic that Melania or her speech writer(s) lifted the quote from the wife of the same guy they have completely vilified. According to an expert in text analysis the odds of those same words being used together is 1 in 5 septillion.

I understand that. A part of me still thinks that Donald Trump is actually Jon Stewart in a Donald Trump suit .

This was pretty blatantly plagiarized, wouldn't be surprised if whoever her speech writer was did it on purpose to sabotage her.

Oh, come on! Two lines of a 30 minute speech and everyone's in an uproar?

Harping on this kind of silly nitpicking just creates the impression that the speaker is incapable of making any more serious criticism of Trump.

BBC had a good article on this; they basically explain how plagiarizing a line is easier for the masses to understand than criminally negligent espionage. The media is all over it because of ratings and people like OP are all over it because they saw some memes and think they understand it.

Lol yes!

So overblown and even more importantly totally trivial. It's because of people that listen blindly faithful to MSNBC and CBS that were in a situation like this with so many ignorant people voting.

That made me laugh though very true. It proves that resentment towards a party can result in people believing something ridiculous like 2+2=9, or in winged horses that fly to heaven just because the leader of their affiliation lies to them.
