As Christians we (hopefully ) have read the Bible and know some of the most famous stories in there but it just recently struck me that those stories we've heard aren't just stories created to teach us lessons! They really happened and they're a part of history!
Think about this!

There really was: a woman that turned into a pillar of salt!
...a boy that defeated a giant with a single stone!
...a man that was swallowed by a fish and spit back out after 4 days and nights inside its belly!
...a man that lost all his livestolk, children, and wealth that still didn't turn his back on God!
...a man that lived to be over 900 years old!
...a king that had an extra 15 years added to his life!
...three men that lived after being thrown into a fiery furnace!
...a flood that lasted 40 days that almost destroyed the Earth!

AND LAST OF ALL there really was a baby boy sent to Earth that was riddiculed, beaten, spit at, tortured, fogotten by his dearest friends, whipped, and crucified to a cross to die in agony...just to redeem us of all our sins....

i could go on and on but that would get really annoying lol

I know that was random but what do you guys think? 0_0 I feel like Bible stories were always played down and that no one ever emphasized how important they are or how difficult it was to be the people in the Bible...can you even imagine being one of the people mentioned above? Would you have made the similar decisions if you were in their place? I'm not so sure about myself ^_^...

7) Noah and his babies.

^ Oh well, modern men are socialised into being such skeptics and critics. LIKE anyone'll actually go convey a message for God. Yeah right. If people had little faith in the past, there is even less now.

Thank God for Jesus.

its ok..it took me at least 2 mins to know... lol.. and i remembered the japanese pronounciation of thank you..

anyway, back to the topic... i dont know if these are only made for teaching lessons but it surely is part of it...

these stories for me is a show on how God works! his greatness!

i can still remember my mom reading it to me... i really loved reading it... everytime i read those bible stories.. i felt loved..maybe not by my mom and dad.. they are always busy... but i knew someone was there

they're not just teaching tools ^_^ if we're Christians shouldn't we accept everything in the Bible? We can't just leave some parts out becuz they don't make us happy or they don't seem to be real...but i guess that we can all agree that God is Great!~

lol well you kind of listed different events in the bible without specifying the people...it's natural that we try to find out who they are xD
