Why should religion be banned, and how is that any different than the religious forcing conversion on secular society?

No matter how you look at it. Religion is bad, and the people don't need it. It's religion that needs the people, that should be a red flag even in the slowest mind.

Religion isn't bad, only those who kill in its name. There are many religious who don't kill, and don't force it on others. As for history, who cares? History changes.

"As for history, who cares?"

This kind of thing right here is why nobody who is an atheist will take anyone who defends religion seriously. I'm not sure if it's ignorance or just plain denial about the reality of religion.

Literally.

You sir, are being retarded. Aren't you the commenter who a minute ago forgot about Stalin all together? Don't try to comment on topics you don't know about.

"“Besides that, I believe one thing: there is a Lord God! And this Lord God creates the peoples.” [1] ~Adolf Hitler

“We were convinced that the people need and require this faith. We have therefore undertaken the fight against the atheistic movement, and that not merely with a few theoretical declarations; we have stamped it out” [2] ~Adolf Hitler

Hitler was a Christian. This undeniable fact couldn’t be made any clearer than by his own confessions. Yet, I will not merely present you with these testimonies, as damning as they happen to be on their own, but I also intend on furnishing you with a brief history of the inherent anti-Semitism of the Christian religion. I will do so to demonstrate beyond any reasonable doubt that Hitler and his Christian Nazi Party were acting in complete concordance with traditional Christian anti-Semitism.

Also, whether or not Stalin was an atheist is sooooo debatable most historians don't agree that he was an atheist.

Get educated, these are RUMORS NOT FACTS.

Also :

"rumoured to be pagan even, fact."

How is a rumor a fact? I'm convinced you are dumb

^@ you

mind you not only Stalin, but Nazi (on the right) was atheist? So please laugh at your own fucking self pfft

Di....did.....did....did...did you just call Nazi's atheists? Are you.....retarded?

I don't know about Stalin but Hitler and the nazis? Hell No!

Beyond that, there's a difference here : Atheists have never started genocides over religious beliefs

Hitler stopped Catholic worship , fact, the nazi state was assumed atheist, rumoured to be pagan even, fact.

Yes, let's all just conviniently forget Catholic church and Nazi party supported each other, Hitler kept mentioning god and gods work repeatedly and that standart issue nazi uniform came with "God with us" on it. True enemy of the Catholics indeed.

First, I'm a woman, not a sir, its miss..

Second, Hitler might have been a christian at some point, but not a very good one. Even professed christians can lose their souls and suffer eternal damnation .

Third, whatever Hitler was or wasn't, his acts weren't very Christian, and he closed religious schools and effectively made it anti-religious (under threat of death, anything non conformity was under penalty of death, so what i said is true.)

If you'd rather be called a dumb miss, then i will call you that, but trying to play towards your gender is stupid, most female friends I know don't care if they are called dude, get over it.

So you're going to use the "No True Scottsman!" fallacy then? He may not seem like a good christian to you, but to the Christians in charge of the crusades, he was probably a god.

YOU JUST SAID HE WAS AN ATHEIST, THEN YOU SAID HE USED TO BE CHRISTAIN, NOW YOU'RE ADMITTING YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT HE IS. ARE YOU SERIOUS??? Don't switch the subject when you're pointed as wrong. "Oh it doesn't really matter because xxxx". YES, it does! Context matters.

And he closed religious schools that were against his rules, no shit, he closed schools in general.

Wait what? History definitely does not change. We should care to learn from the mistakes of the past.

NONE of the actions of these people are Christian or Muslim or ANYTHING that has to do with their "faith". Muslims are not allowed to kill others if they reject Islam. Christians are not allowed to kill others if they reject Christianity. Like I said, people love to twist things so that it suits them. They take advantage of religion and use it for their own sick things.

I'd like to know what makes someone a "good" christian.

The woman who must remain silent when attending church? Or the men who teach woman to be obedient?

Corinthians 14:34-16

"Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law. And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church. "

Titus-2:4-5

"Teach the young women to be ... obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed"

History does change, all around us, every day, every year , every decade, and when it reverses, its not the same as originally.
