The only one that I know of that comes close to this is Horimiya, a hilarious romantic comedy with more focus on the name of said genre instead of the typical drama that's involved (might as well name it "romantic dramedy" because of it).

Kyō Kara Ore Wa!! is one of my favorites from Shonen Sunday. It was a big seller there, but almost no one here knows about it. It's part comedy, part action, with some very well developed characters.

Again!! is an amazing manga that is really unique, but sadly not fully translated yet. I recommend it in spite of that because it is that good to me.

Another lesser known manga is Ballroom e Youkoso. It only has 42 chapters right now and it is stuck there at the moment because the author is sick. I hope she gets better and the manga can continue.

Iris Zero (Comedy, Drama, Mystery, Psychological, Romance, School Life, Seinen, Supernatural)

The series has been on indefinite hiatus for two years due to the artist getting seriously ill, but it's just recently returned with a new chapter. I really hope this gets an anime adaptation some day; I still consider it my favourite manga.

Cool! I saw in my list that it had been updated, but I haven't gone to check it out yet.

Red River/Anatolia Story is one of the best out there and I've read a lot of shoujo. It's an older one but it's got everything- magic, historical, drama, action and a strong female lead. I wish more people knew about it.

Kanata Kara/ From Far Away is similar to Anatolia but shorter. It's really sweet shoujo also lesser known

Criminale! A survival-savvy MC that's prone to being attacked by Criminals finds his skills put to the test when he's transferred into a class full of them. The overall plot is fairly generic and predictable, but the characters and their interactions are hilarious and entertaining enough to make up for it.

Shingetsutan Tsukihime and it's spinoffs. I wouldn't call it unknown per say, but it certainly gets less attention then it's younger sibling Fate. Some of you may know of it as the OTHER group of characters depicted in Carnival Phantasm. Written by Nasu Kinko, the same guy who wrote Fate/Stay Night. A dark urban fantasy with vampires, magi, zombies, and an MC that just might be more of a monster then the rest of them combined. Be warned: fairly explicit depictions of gore and sex.

Mahou Tsukai No Yome, a troubled girl with great affinity for the fey folk is bought by a less-then-human magus to be his apprentice, and possibly his wife? A surprisingly good mix of shonen and shoujo characteristics, so it can be enjoyed by fans of both demographics. The writer seems to have done their homework, because there's lots of references to Shakespearean-esque European folklore, particularly the fae. I think it's getting an OVA soon, so it probably won't remain "unknown" for much longer.

Yuusha Gojo Kumiai Kouryygata Keijiban, a hilarious take on heroic archetypes prevailent in popular fiction. It takes place at an interdimensional forum where individuals that have been designated "heroes" can converse with each other chatroom-style to rant, give advice, and troll each other. In short, it's 4chan for main characters.

Watari-kun no xx ga houkai suzen, a fairly amusing harem-ish romcom so far, but foreshadowing indicates it may be taking a darker turn at some point. Unlike most manga of this type, where the focus is the appeal of the heroines and general fanservice depicting them, the writer seems to be using their various interactions as build up to something bigger. Of course, I could be totally wrong.

Until Death Do Us Part. I'm not actually sure how popular this one is, so it may or may not belong in this thread. Anyways, it reminds me of a good hollywood action movie. The plot isn't particularly original, but it's a solid action series with badass characters, international intrigue, scifi elements, and awesome fight scenes. I'm surprised this hasn't been made into an anime yet.

If anyone likes reading a horror manga with zombies in it Cradle of the Monster is pretty decent. It's about a kid who used to work in the circus who goes on a class trip with his fellow students on a big ocean liner. Suddenly though, because zombie specimens on board escape, he ends up having to work with some of the survivors to reach the top of sinking ship that's been capsized.

Also, it's written by the same guy as Erased/Boku Dake ga Inai Machi.

The Tarot Cafe, easily. I adore this manga or manhwa for everything inside its beautiful pages. From the unique style to all the interesting characters and the main story and side stories, I just find it to be quite perfect and am glad it was the first manga I read. I certainly feel it deserves more attention and is worth looking into.

In contemporary Great Britain, Pamela is the owner of a mysterious Tarot Cafe. After midnight, she receives supernatural clients who come to her for advice through tarot readings. From cats to fairies to vampires, they tell her their stories even as she unravels their past, present and future through her cards. In exchange for her advice, they pay her with beads of Berial's Necklace, which Pamela gathers for her own secret ends.
