I've watched a considerable amount of anime in my opinion, but I have become quite picky lately. I'm adamant on high-quality animation, unfortunately. Lately, I've been binging on shoujo romance as it seems to hit a soft spot.

Feel free to check out my completed anime and see if you can spot anything worthwhile I haven't watched. http://myanimelist.net/animelist/Bdollasign?status=2

That Seven Deadly sins rep! Watch Deadman wonderland but read the manga after.

So, the shows that I remember being particularly interesting from an artistic/animation point of view:

Dusk Maiden of Amnesia (the first scene hooked me with how it was filmed)
ef: Tale of Memories and Bakemonogatari (Shaft at it's shaftiest)
Kanon (a little bit older, but still beautiful)
Nagi no Asukara (underwater scenes are great)

If you want more good shoujo:

My Love Story! (art is consciously over-the-top, but it fits the story)
Kimi ni Todoke (lots of chibi here, if that bothers you)
Snow White with the Red Hair
The World is Still Beautiful
Otome Youkai Zakuro

I have actually started Nagi no Asukara today, and I highly approve of the art and story so far! Amnesia was removed from Crunchyroll sadly
