I own Skyrim on my PC, Xbox 360 and now my PS4 if anyone wants my PSN it's 'Pinch_Lemon2' - Any serious gamer should own a copy of this game !

I ended up buying the limited edition from Best Buy over the weekend. With my backlog of games, I'm not jumping into Skyrim until after I get my PS4 Pro. I'm still trying to platinum Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and Deadpool ($15 random purchase from Gamestop) before then. Already had Skyrim on PC, but I absolutely deplore mods at this point. I grew up a PC/Console hybrid gamer, mods were life. But nowadays? Naw, I can live without them.

I think that since they remastered it they should've given it a new dlc or something because I imagine it'll be around $40-60 but mod support for console is really good but I've played a lot of the good mods on PC (when I had one)

if you have a heavily modded pc version, special edition looks terrible in comparison and many of the top mods wont work on special edition due to file format restrictions. A lot of the top mods are not being developed or updated anymore either so don't expect them to ever be supported.

Yaaaaasssss! I greeted trick or treaters with the hat on lol.
As for the mods, I actually find that I have zero fun with mods. I'm fine with vanilla Skyrim.

If you've never owned Skyrim then getting it now is as good a time as any. I personally recommend the game if you enjoy open world games. And Skyrim comes packed with content to play through (I'm several hundreds of hours into the game). Even after 5 years I find myself playing the game (though I play Oblivion far more often).

It's a bummer that you can not get achievements while playing with mods but I have been enjoying my time back in Skyrim. In my opinion I don't regret buying the game but I would not recommend it to anyone over maybe a newer game. If you have never played Skyrim before than that changes everything and you should go and buy it right away because it is a great game that will give you endless hours of enjoyment.

It's fine, though like with all things it has issues. ..Load order and mod compatibility being one of them.

.....I am running what is basically Witcher: Skyrim edition right now though and I have no regrets.
