Settling down usually implies kids as well as marriage, but honestly people usually say "it's time to settle down" or "i want to settle down" with you as giving a sign that you need to get married or to describe marriage. So basically the same.

For me it's acquiring a primary residency that I can gain equity on. Being or getting married is independent from this, but commonly associated.

Settling down to me means you are giving up an active lifestyle of parties and bar hopping in favor of a regular relationship. This doesn't necessarily need to involve marriage or kids, so long as there is a voluntary change in lifestyle.

Getting married is pretty self explanatory, and doesn't necessary mean changing your lifestyle over what is currently happening. you can live the same life with a wife as you were with a girlfriend.
