So I stopped watching shippuden around episode 150 or so maybe it was after the battle with pain. So my question is, is it worth finishing and if so how many fillers will I need to skip. The fillers are one of the reason naruto rates so low for me.

I've moved this over to the Advice, Info, Recommendations forum.

While there are parts worth watching after the Pain arc, in my opinion nothing gets better than that, and the fillers become more and more disruptive. Not just because there are long patches of them, but instead of doing a fairly nice wrap up of some arc and then inserting some filler, and then going back to the story, they tend to keep reaching high points -- and then filler -- and then back for a couple of episodes -- then filler, right in the middle of things where tensions and expectations and looking forward to what happens next are high. I got so frustrated with it and was definitely not having a good experience, that I've actually stopped watching and am not sure I'll ever go back (since I've read the manga.)

I'll leave it to others to give more specifics about where the fillers are (or direct you to a good source for that info.)

What Lorreen said. They did the same thing with Bleach. Fillers are tremendously disruptive, more now than before. Perhaps I shouldn't mention it as it goes against supporting production of anime or whatever, but I would wait until the anime is finished, and then find a comprehensive list/overview of which episodes are fillers so that you can line up episodes that aren't fillers with ease.
