Losing passion in things

I don't think I've ever had passion to begin with.

This happens to me a lot.

Sometimes I will only partially watch an anime then start to get bored with it. I don't drop it but end up going back to it at a later time.

I also find that in the rest of my life, I need to constantly need new forms of entertainment because all my old ones are starting to bore me.

I used to draw manga illustrations of near professional caliber, i stayed up until the wee hours of the morning every night after i got home from work at midnight. I owned a set of Copic pens that cost more than my first car. I thought of nothing but inking techniques and gradiation, blending and shading. But after about three years of honing my skills i suddenly lost all passion for it. Totally inexplicable, it started during the hot season when i couldn't draw because a sweat drop could ruin days of work. After the six week hot season passed i picked up my pens again and !poof! the interest was gone, the passion had mysteriously evaporated. To this day i rarely draw any longer.

So I want to ask you guys a question.
Have you guys ever lost passion in something you once found fun or enjoyable?

I have lost my passion to watch anime for months now, it takes an exceptional anime to get me into watching anime again such as Jojo, but as of right now I haven't seen a new seasonal anime since Parasyte last year. That's how long it's been.
I do honestly love anime but I guess you can say the spark just isn't there anymore and I was wondering if any of you guys have been in this situation with anime or any other things and how you guys may have brought that spark or interest back.

Yes I suppose that this happens with everyone because we all change through the time and so our hobbies change too
I have the same situation with my anime obsession I was a very great fan in my teenage years but then it changed radically, now I watch smth really rare But I still like to discuss some my favourite anime
That happenes with my music tastes too, several years ago I adored the alternative rock, now I don't listen to it at all
It can happen with your tastes in fashion and style too For example, I adored the unusual colours like in this gallery on HairStylezz on my head but during the time I don't feel the same huge interest in this at the current time
But maybe all such things not always become permanent

We all loose passion for things from time to time. It could just mean other things are taking priority. Or perhaps, you could have some other issues, or things are just happening in your life. Also, we all grow up, and we change these things are completely natural. It could also mean, I am not psychologist neither practicing or contain a license, could be a symptom of depression. If you have no desire for things you love, and you do not have the motivation, then I would recommend to talk to a friend or seek professional help. There is nothing wrong with seeing a consular, professional help, or talking to a friend. We all need someone to lean on for support. Its easier said than done, I get that. We are a social species. I wish you luck dudette.

Same.

I've even bought new games and haven't touched them yet and it's been months. Guess I just have to face the fact that I'm not the gamer I used to be. :(

Video games, repetitive and boring. I've never played for the mechanics of it anyway, I played mainly for the story behind it, but the stories have gotten boring and because they have to write around battling and game mechanics, they have less room to be creative, Heavy Rain was the last game with a great story that I played.

I can't wait for Virtual Reality though, this technology has me excited, it might renew my passion for gaming. I hope it doesn't fail like 3D gaming. Seeing PokemonGo having much success gives me hope, although I'm not into Pokémon myself.

Games.

I recently found out with my purchase of Persona 3 FES that it wasn't my fondness of games that diminished, but the attractiveness of the games themselves are long gone.

Nowadays, you have your trial and error bullshit games, your matchmaking bullshit games, and your terrible friendly AI bullshit games. My PS2 recently reminded me of a good time: where games were simple, but at least they worked.

by far the one, got be comics.
the collection or the adreline of doing it, have change
by the manny new talent, and the art, that is not compare
to what the 90's offer. It was rad for a good story, but when it come
to reinvent it. yeah they lost me. With the overexporture
their haven from webcomics n movies.
theres nothing else neither the WB arrow or flash feel me.
Just the netflix/marvel does, cause of grimm n dark tone they
have. But i m having now the anime blues, but hey
is either my anxiety or the age i m now.

Yes I've been there with anime.

There are four main ways that anime has captured my interest:

1. Comfort from reality (eg. Mahoraba, Ai Yori Yoshi, etc)

2. Gripping fast paced story (eg. Death note, Erased, etc)

3. Competitive, emotional, and overpowering action (Major, Haikyuu, etc)

4. Painting a fictional yet immersive world (DBZ, SAO, etc)

When I got tired of anime, I stopped watching for almost a year. Then SAO came out and I just gave it a shot and became hooked. I quickly realized that I wasn't actually tired of anime altogether, just that I was tired of watching too much of the same type.

Honestly I would try watching Erased (give it a couple episodes) if you haven't seen it. It may get your spark back.

I think i have lost some passion for alot of my hobbies but not all passion.
I still love video games but they dont do it for me as much as they used to. I used to love fighting games but now i very rarely play them, i was obsessed with JRPG's now i very rarely play them and haven't palyed one for a while. i do miss them at times though.
I still love playing on line FPS games and western RPG's.
I guess even anime, whilst i still really like it and at times they are really enjoyable to me, i dont love it as much as i used to. I mean i loved anime so much in the past that i NEVER watched ANY tv shows/series or non Japanese cartoons (except he simpsons of course) but now i watch tv series way more than anime and i watch American cartoons also.
I do go long periods not watching anime at times and usually just watch an epiosde or two at a time now when i do.

I guess even music, i still love it but i used to listen to music so much more than i do now. Was always buying cds and making mixed cd's and could spend hours listening to music. Dont listen to it as much now nor go out of my way to get new stuff like i once did.

I used to write lyrics and make beats and rap. I gave that up years ago but i do still write rhymes every so often (usually randomly and drunk).

I stopped drawing years ago but i guess that was just a phase.

Smoking weed, i quit years ago. I used to love it. Was an everyday thang. lol

I guess to an extent even playing pool/eight ball. But i did go out to a pool hall just the other night and had great fun. But i used to play very very regulary, could play for hours on end and played competitively even.
I was always going to pool halls and pubs to play or people's houses who owned a table. I'd dedicate entire nights to just playing pool. Now i really dont go out of my way that often or play for hours on end everytime like i used to.

Um i dont really watch hentai hardly anymore lol. Used to love it. And used to always spend hours H pic surfing but pretty rare i do that now.

Not sure if i have lost passion or just gone through phases and changes and i think some of it is just growing up.

But i mean music was life for me at one time, an i was a majorly obsessed anime fan and JRPG player(used to almost only play those sorts of games), and i was obsessed with playing pool. Guess you get bored of things that you do too much i guess?
