MODS: Please let me know if a thread like this already exists.

You are on a ship and it sinks. You manage to save a portable generator that recharges with sunlight, a large screen TV, A BR player and up to 3 BRs of your choice. What would you choose?

For me I'd take:

1: The Irregular at Magic High. Why? I love the world it is set in, all the characters at First High (the core group and Pixie), 101st Magic Using Battalion and Inspector Chiba. I grant that Mayumi Saegusa is my most favorite of all characters with her pixie face and impish sense of humour. I do grant that Tatsuya and Miyuki Shiba are OPed, but never ever have an overwhelming sense of superiority.

2. Ai Yori Aoshi. Why? It is a true romance story pretending to be a harem show. Aoi Sakuraba and Kaoru Hanabishi do love each other. I find Aoi Sakuraba to be such a sweet girl she should really exist. Since this show came out in 2002 the art is a bit dated, but not horribly.

3. The Pet Girl of Sakurasou. Why? I guess I believe in panties too. Seriously; this is an off beat slice of life high school rom-comedy that is both funny and touching. at the same time. Mashiro Shina s the perfect canvas to amplify the quirks of all the other residents of Sakurasou. Unlike a lot of rom-coms when it gets serious it feels real and compelling. But it never completely loses the comedy for example Misaka Kamigusa doing her bullfrog impression is great. It doesn't hurt that 3 of my favorite seiyus are in the show. Ai Kayano as Mashiro Shina. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ai_Kayano . Yui Horie as Maid-chan. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yui_Horie . And Ayako Kawasumi as Rita Ainsworth https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ayako_Kawasumi .

So what would you choose?

Why the hell would I save a large screen TV and blueray player? Do I hate civilization that much?

Maybe they were the only things around and everyone else died, however it does make you wonder why the hell tv is so important to you that you grab it at the risk of your own life and wht kind of fucking eletricity do trees have that they can power those things.

It's just the setup so a person can make a choice. I thought it would be more interesting than just pick up to 3 of the only anime you can watch for the rest of your life.

I guess you missed the power about a solar powered generator? I didn't go into the boring details of food, water, shelter since they were a given. I guess it can be assumed that the items washed up intact and usable. It's fine if you don't want to answer. I just thought it might be fun to do a post about anime we really love. Hell, I didn't eve make people say why.

The three I've rewatched the most, that way I could pinpoint that the moment I start to go crazy is when I would tire of them.

Dog Days
Kokoro Connect
Bodacious Space Pirates

I am calm. I would prefer anime, but you can pick any show. One reason I asked was to see if I can find new and nteresting shows to watch.

SoL centered around said cafe. Highly recommend it.

Edit: I should mention that it's pretty long (50ep.) which is a huge bonus imo.

I loved Bodacious Space Pirates. In fact one of my favorite scenes in anime is in the OP when the Benten Maru takes off beside Marika and Chiaki. Granted if they really tried that it wouldn't be healthy for them. I do need to retry watching Kokoro Connect. When I first tried my life was hectic and had to drop it. Thank you for responding.

Thanks. I'll look for it. I do like SOL and Rom-coms more than other types of anime.

Thanks for your reply. That is 2 for Shirokuma Cafe. Not familiar with Minami-Ke. What is it about? (Yeah, I am a relative newbie to anime.)

Thanks for your reply. I know the first two really well, but not Nana. Can you tell me about it? See above about being a newbie in anime. :)

None. I'd save the generator power for something that's really necessary. I'd spend most of the time working out how to survive and after that if I found some books that weren't ruined by the sea I'd read a little. Mostly I'd have to see to gardening, foraging, fishing, cooking, home building and maintenance, tool creation and maybe the odd bit of clothing.
