Hmm, interesting question. I could just take three of my favorites and call it done like Aria, K-On, and Madoka Magica, but just for fun, let me try to think of some other more strategic answers for the island scenario.
1. Aria. If multiple seasons aren't counted, then I'll take Aria the Natural because it's the longest. This is the show that would keep me sane and probably make me enjoy my stay on the deserted island. It would allow me to make the best of the scenario and appreciate the the beauty and tranquility of ocean side life (or survival in this case). It's also my favorite show - I simply must take it along with me in some form. 2. Your Lie in April. A fantastic drama AND romance rolled into one pick. I"m not as in love with it as most others are, but the soundtrack gives it a huge leg up. Being a classical music fan, this would allow me to listen to some of my favorite music while on the island as well. It's a triple win 3. Sengoku Collection. Some might consider this an odd pick, and I'm not even entirely sure whether I'm certain of it as well. However, if I'm going to have to rewarch the same thing over and over, I think the variety that this show offers thanks to its episodic format and (literally) colorful cast of characters would keep me entertained for quite a while. |

Well I feel like I have to include blast of tempest just because of the setting, but that's not one I'll actually pick. I do love to re-watch anime, so I don't necessarily think I would have an issue there, just so difficult only picking 3... I'll go with:
1. Hunter x Hunter - I would need at least one longer anime so that I wouldn't tire too quickly and Hunter x Hunter is amazing, I don't think I need to justify that, so I would definitely bring that with me. 2. A Certain Scientific Railgun I love this show and have already seen it 6 times and don't think I'll tire of it anytime soon so that alone makes it a great candidate. Also, it too has a solid number of episodes which will help keep me going. 3. Angel Beats! This is probably my favorite show, and have also seen a number of times, though it might not fit the normal mold of something to bring to an island, I can't imagine not being able to ever watch it again. Because it's really difficult for me to just choose 3, here are some runner ups: Rurouni Kenshin, any of the Monogatari series, Spice and Wolf, SAO, and I'm sure I could go on. |

That is an interesting mix of survival shows and comedy anime. I too like Hybrid x Heart anime, but I have to listen with the sound off since it is NSFW. ![]() tkayt wrote: Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide None. I'd save the generator power for something that's really necessary. I'd spend most of the time working out how to survive and after that if I found some books that weren't ruined by the sea I'd read a little. Mostly I'd have to see to gardening, foraging, fishing, cooking, home building and maintenance, tool creation and maybe the odd bit of clothing I did say in a later post that food, water and shelter was a given in this flavour text scenario. I also completely agree that one would need books, etc too. But since this is an anime forum than I wanted to limit it to that field. Thanks for replying. Cait_Sidhe wrote: Spoiler Alert! Same way with Plastic Memories. ![]() amhester wrote: Spoiler Alert! I really like most of your picks, but especially Railgun since I am rewatching that NOW. I also like Angel Beats a lot too. But Monogatari scares me and might give me epilepsy despite the fact I really like it. Spice and Wolf and SAO are favorites as well. I do not understand the hate of SAO, but then again I'm not really into Kirito as much as Asuna and Yui were my favorites. ![]() ![]() |

Only blue rays?
Puella Magi Madoka Magica - My all-time favorite. Ghost in the Shell: Arise - Nice science fiction action. Lagrange - I don't have a lot of anime blue rays! If I could take DVDs, then I'd take Ranma 1/2, Urusei Yatsura, and Sailor Moon. Many, many episodes to keep me entertained for a very long time. |

I get endless enjoyment out of FLCL, so i'd probably be fine just bringing that honestly. It's like listening to your favorite album, you anticipate the moments that you love and it always leaves you satisfied.
As for two others, i guess i'd bring Space Dandy (season one if i can't bring both) and Non Non Biyori |

I should watch it subbed since it was watched dubbed and I am sure they changed it a bit. Unfortunately I've not seen a lot of anime movies and need to correct that. superflydanfry wrote: Spoiler Alert! You can bring both seasons of Space Dandy and I love Non Non Biyori and since it is a nice relaxing anime it would be good to watch to take the stress off of day. neugenx wrote: Spoiler Alert!
