I would pick sazae-san, doraemon and one piece. Not because I like these shows but because I would have so many discs that I could make a large sos or use the discs to make something.

Have you read the manga yet? In it Miyuki is proven to be a valid one to like She's got a secret *won't spoil what it is*.

For me though, Karen is best girl although to be fully honest Miyuki is a very very close second.

I just started to read the manga. I can't read Nihongo so have to wait as the volumes are released in the US. Yes, I really like Karen too. And Reiko. The only one that I don't like as much is Aika, but I do sympathize with her though.

Thanks for replying. You have a valid response, but you could make a large SOS out of other things too. I can see also taking shows you don't care as much about since if they got damaged you'd be less emotionally invested i them.

The one I've heard of but not watched is Robot Carnival. Can you tell me more about it?

It's a compilation of nine shorts that covers a wide range of genres and animation styles with a common theme of robots appearing in each short. There's just about one to cover your every mood. (Except harem, no harem shorts.) Strange Tales of Meiji Machine Culture: Westerner's Invasion is my favourite. It's just plain fun to watch. Presence always manages to bring a tear to my eye. Not quite up to Clannad / Air tear-jerker but close. If you're in the mood for a roller-coaster ride Chicken Man and Red Neck fits the bill. It has a vague Sorcerer's Apprentice feel mostly due to the frenetic action set to music. Cloud is enjoyable just from an artistic stand point. The OPs and EDs are connected and stand as a tale of human technology gone awry in a rather comical way. (Before there was the Destroyer of Konosuba there was the Robot Carnival.)

Personally I prefer the English dub of Strange Tales to the sub. They take the comedy and dial it up to 11.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure

If the rescue team has a hard time finding me, I rather have long series so I can retain my sanity a bit longer

Thank you for replying. Agreed. Laughter is the best medicine. I really like Shomin Sample and one of my favorite characters is from that show. I might be weird, but I really like the head maid Miyuki Kujo.

After we learned the real reason she wished he would never wake up in the morning she jumped up my list.

Thanks for replying. Yes a long series has the advantage of being able to be watched for a long time before repeating. Yet I can find that I can watch shorter series over and over again with no decrease in enjoyment.

Agreed. But she was always in the lead for me. I guess I like the fact she was cute, sassy and kept you on your toes. But Karen was starting to close the ground some (and is the 2nd best girl in the series), but the revelation clinched 1st place for Miyuki Kujo.

I can do that with short series as well, but it has to be one of my all time favourites like One Punch Man, The Seven Deadly Sins, etc. I guess I find longer series more enjoyable because I get to spend more time with the characters and their worlds, just like when playing any RPG like Final Fantasy or Chrono Trigger. Obviously not everybody will have the patience to watch something like One Piece, but if with more episodes I get to have more awesome action, great characters and story, then I say bring it on
