Where have you been? What awesome adventures do you have to reminisce?

So just recently getting back from my vacation, I noticed how complete I actually felt.

I like to think that the places we once cherished somehow have a special place within our heart; so to speak.

Like this place for example, Eagle lake, in the little Township of Machar. Familiar, because I have been here before as a child and teenager, but this is the first time as an adult. It's funny, before we use to be confined and held back, limitations in a way, but now walking into this freely, being in the best shape of my life, how much more rewarding it is to take a break from everything.

I'd like to share my little vacation

Very nice! I haven't gotten to "get away" for some time. But when I get a chance, I like to hit some of the local parks and check out what creatures are out and about.

:3 there were little ducklings that got soo close to you where I was, and most of the animals there were so up close and friendly. Wish I got a picture of a loon though, thats something pretty haRd to do unless i have a good eye and camera.

I recently finished up my Masters and I'm currently in the process of looking for a long-term job. In the interim, I'll be moving back home and it feels like I'm actually returning to everything. Like, I'll actually be able to hang out with my friends and catch up with people from High School and see my family for more than a weekend at a time. There's also a beach nearby which I used to go to at 2AM and just lay on the dock, listen to music and think. Just the idea of going back home and finally getting the chance to sort everything out in my head is exciting. I've missed a lot, but having a place to go and clear my head is invaluable and its something that I just don't have here in Philly.

As far as vacations, I haven't really taken one in a long time. Hopefully I'll be able to go and visit a lake in Ontario sometime in August and see the other half of my family. Haven't been up there in years.

PS: That 12 string is a thing of beauty.

Aww, that's so cute. I love it when you can get that close up to the animals. Talk about having a Disney princess moment. hahaha

I never did get a picture of a loon when I lived up North. I always heard them, but never saw them anywhere!

Even doing something like this once a year is rare, but how relaxing the experience was, just pure silence and comfort if you have the chance, don't miss out. Good luck to you.

That's My Baby lol. I was so excited to bring it with me. I wouldn't want to leave somewhere without it, especially if Im gone for a while.

There are few things in life better than playing guitar outside!

I need to get myself a 12 string someday. They just sound so wonderful and they're tons of fun to play. Plus my current acoustic is garbage so I'd like to upgrade.

I like visiting my wife's kin in central Michigan. Do a little fishing, a little shooting and just relax.

I have never been outside of the South lol.

I was going to go to Washington DC with my 4H club in middle school but 13 year old me was too lazy to do all of the volunteer work

That looks amazing! But I've seen far too many poorly made shark/piranha lake films to get into lake water. I live in a city where the beach is a 4 hour drive away. It's pretty nice. Just some good company, booze, and sand between your toes!

the lake is beautiful, nothing to fear, except maybe leeches xD

Beaches are ok, especially with booze and friends. Walking through the sand , maybe play some foot ball, put on some good tunes, good times.

I've been to a lot of places, France, England, Japan, Afghanistan, The US of course, even did a brief visit to Moscow once . But I suppose the place I cherish the most is my homeland, specifically the coastal forests and mountains of B.C. There is this lake called Elsay just east of the mountain of the same name. It holds some memories that I consider to be rather valuable and somewhat private.

I would say what but considering that tale involves another person who is no longer here to give her permission I can't.
