I have no idea where else to post this.

It used to always work fine but now when i start the app up, i see the spinning circle as always and it just never stops. It's basically stuck at the start up/intro screen and i don't get access to the app's content. I am not the only one with the issue. Several people on Xbox One Reddit as well. Please fix this as soon as possible. Used to be smooth sailing for me.

I've moved this to the Xbox Gaming Platforms forum in the Help Section. You might want to browse some other threads to see if there's any useful info in them.

I know some people started having a problem a few weeks ago after the license on several titles expired if any of those titles were in their queue. I'm not sure it was the exact same symptom, but check your queue from a web browser and if you see anything that's blank -- where it's all white instead of having a thumbnail there -- remove it.

Had the same issue today.

https://www.crunchyroll.com/acct/?action=devices
Unlink + deactivate everything. Uninstall everything CR-related. Restart the xbone.
Logout if you auto-sign-in. Re-download CR. Start CR using a second account.
If this step works change the account, log in with your E-Mail + PW and you should be good to go.

The queue has nothing to do with this. He doesn't even get to the screen where he could choose to go his queue.

Yeah. Thank you for providing better advice.( I did mention I wasn't sure if their symptoms were the same; I don't have an Xbox myself.)

Thanks for the help people. I will give this a try tomorrow. The Xbox One is off now and really about time for me to call it quits for today. I just find it odd that i have to do those steps when all was working fine yesterday and i have had very little issues ever since the Xbox One launch. I will start the app tomorrow first to see if it works again, if not..i will follow those steps.

I had this exact same issue, I just fixed it by following some of what ComboChrist recommended. Here are the exact steps I did:

  1. Logged into my account on the web and removed all Xbox One references from My Devices (I had multiple devices IDs for Xbox One here)
  2. Removed Crunchyroll App from Xbox One
  3. Restarted Console
  4. Re-installed Crunchyroll App

No more loading circle on launching. Interestingly enough I didn't have to re-enter any of my account info - the app is appears like nothing happened.

On my Xbox one the app works perfectly until I sign in to my premium account, I have gone through 3 xboxs and I have the same problem on each one. I don't want to sit through these adds when I'm paying to not have them! Can anyone help me???

Are you having trouble loading the /queue? If so, browse it in the browser and remove any listing where there is a blank, white box where the thumbnail should be.

I did that before after reading the other comments on here, but out of desperation I removed everything in my queue(which was quite large I've been using crunchy roll for a decade now) and now it works. Thanks for the help eyeofpain!

There have also been reports that exceptionally large (over 50) queues can cause issues too, but there are so many shows, people don't notice when white boxes show up. I usually maintain about 60 titles, and don't typically have any problems with the Xbox One app.

Agreed. It is literally the most garage app I've ever used. The messed up thing is it works fine on the 360 no matter how big the queue is. It just fails on xbox one and since I'm not going to hook my 360 up very time I want to watch on my tv I just stick with watching on my pc. It's pretty damn sad that they left the app this broken since it's launch. Their refusal to fix the broke ass app is something I always mention to people when they ask me about weather to sub or not. They will never get me to recommend to anyone getting a sub until they fix this app.
