Only if it depicts something specific, obvious, or whimsically meaningful.

Junk and/or paint that are thrown together and open to "interpretation" are nothing more than mental ramblings from the "artist."

what art is, like beauty, is subjective.

Has anyone heard of Yayoi Kusama? It is my dream to one day visit her exhibits.
Her infinity rooms looks amazing

Oh wow. I knew about her infinity net paintings, but didn't know that she made them into rooms. Wow (stares at pics for awhile).

Surprised no one has mentioned Takashi Murakami yet. He takes inspiration from anime and manga to make contemporary Pop art pieces.

The cool thing about her rooms is that there is one in my city! I didn't know until I started looking for pics to put on this thread.

Depends on what art you're talking about. Some is good, and some just makes you wanna punch the artist in the face.

This is stupid:

But we still have artists like Leon Afremov:

And Chuck Close (this is a painting):

Also, Sayaka Ganz (this was made using garbage):

Yes, I do like modern art well enough. I'm not exactly impressed with ancient Sheela na gig depictions, but that doesn't mean past art is wholeheartedly shit.

A few shout-outs of some modern artists I like:

Depends, if it actually qualifies as art and is spectacular and impossible to reproduce by an untalented scrub then yes.

If it's just some lunatic who has produced a blank bit of paper or vomited paint all over a page and then put it up in a gallery no.

I like some modern art. Conceptual art would be the most difficult to appreciate because everyone's views are subjective, what's art to one person is rubbish to another.

Depends from piece to piece. I've seen some really cool and moving work, and stuff that means nothing to me.
