So Crunchyroll has comments for every episode, but I never get notified for people replying to me on those...
I'd love to have discussions here so I wish I would get notified if someone replies to me or if someone replies to a comment I also replied to

Could Crunchyroll's team consider that please?

I'm not saying Crunchyroll shouldn't consider this--it would make some sense. But really, if you want back and forth discussion, that what the forums are good for.

To be honest, I have to wonder how low the odds are of getting any new website feature implemented when CR still has yet to code a relatively simple change like e-mailing both the old and new e-mail address (instead of just the new) when the e-mail address is changed on someone's account.

I understand but would it really be efficient to open a forum discussion for every episode? I want to have back and fourth discussions like I have on youtube comments, they're interesting and teach me things, a lot of times discussions on youtube open my eyes to things I didn't see at the first shot, so I think if I could have these about anime on Crunchyroll it'd be amazing because I'm sure there are depths I miss in the anime I watch

For current season shows we have a single thread for each show and much of the discussion is episode-centered. So during the week after an episode airs there will be mostly posts about the most recent episode and sometimes back and forth conversation. Once the new episode airs, there might still be some discussion about the show in general or prior episodes, but mostly it's about the most recent episode, and so on. Thus, no need for a separate thread for every episode (we wouldn't normally allow that in the main forums anyway).

It's true that for older shows forum activity doesn't stay very strong, but I imagine that's similar in comments for older shows.

There is a subforum for every show on Crunchyroll (you get to them by following the link on the show's main page), and opening up episode-specific threads there is okay, but tbh, for most shows that subforum area is pretty much dead. Episode comments are definitely more active than those subforums.
