I like how you think I just listen to the radio I don't stop saying the same shit. Music has talent yes but the industry is ducking it dry.

Second I listen to alot alot more underground stuff then most too. Example deathcore, slam, tech death.

Yes I know thier are some talent and I can find them. But for the most part most ppl listen to mainstream shit.

I recommend looking into foreign artists. I've disliked most American music for well over the last 15 years. There's the occasional song that I like, but for the most part, the musical range is very limited and/or the arrangements lack much creativity. I like songs that incorporate several different instruments, especially ones that I wouldn't think of off the bat, and songs that change key at least once during the duration of the piece. I really enjoy Nuevo Flamenco.

When people say they can't enjoy the music today, you either give up too easily or forgot how to be happy.

I was going to post something insightful in this forum thread, but seeing as how the OP doesn't seem to want to take the people who have already posted here's advice, I'm not going to now.

Autotune and lack of proper lyric writers killed the level of talent.
My favorite genre rock is literally dying out, other than perhaps A7X, there hasn't been too many break through big name bands since the mid 90s.
Almost all modern pop is autotuned garbage with non-meaningful lyrics. I mean, there have been a few recent exceptions like Bruno Mars, but I think back to the Michael Jackson era and I'm not seeing it.

Needless to say, I listen to 80s and early 90s rock in my car and at work, and older pop songs, I can't stand today's garbage.

ITs so bad i feel like the information age is just the dumb age of idiots and greed fill vil people. What happen actually taking years to write and sing now in just 2 hours you can be a hit.

RAP: is so bad i given up on it.

Yeah, I can't stand most modern "rap", f-bombs everywhere with a random 2nd tier pop singer thrown in for a wider audience.
I miss old school hip-hop era stuff, I least the lyrics made sense. Hell half the time the rappers these days are making up words and recycling same beats, gets old real fast.

Do you even music industry? I've found a lot of EDM I like and it's not Skrillex. You've gotta dig through the internet and find it. Something from a popular artist or band from a certain genre does NOT constitute that genre as a whole. You've got to be close minded if you think that way.

I've found my taste in music to whatever my ears find pleasing, whether it's "classical", EDM (pretty sure it used to just be called Electronic), Rock, Metal, Oldies, Latino (and sub-Latino genres like Rock, Reggae, Reggaeton, Cumbia, etc) and who cares! Hell, I even listen to some jpop or some other language I don't even understand because I like how it sounds.

Aside from having to dig through and find music you like, you gotta understand how the industry works. Summary is, if you've got the money (popularity) you have "control" of the genre or industry for that genre.

Edit: Found out OP is a troll so disregard my intellect post.

I prefer slightly robotic singing then normal singing

If there were more songs like this

https://soundcloud.com/leonardlucky/the-world-god-only-knows-iii

I would be happy with the music industry haha

Problem is most of them from the amount of searches i do refuse to incorporate good storytelling into their music making it feel half-baked.

Most of it is high quality but it lacks the substance that makes good music good music.

A story is a must and it must feel as if it has a soul and rhythm.

Good instrumental is needed lyrics on their own can not weave a good product.

if the quality of the two are in sync and harmonize together and echo there story then they catch the hearts and mind of listener and bring them to bliss.

Sadly most artists don't have that talent completely put down hand and lack in many compartments.

Its for that reason why i search out to find some of the best original songwriters i can find to listen to.

The best i have found so far is old vocaloid song dubbers who took the Japanese song and translated it and sung it in english.

So much talent in the story compartment not so much in the instrumental however....there is gone girl who i have been watching (sounds creepy) and spending money via patreon to see her continue.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCaA4zyRSeaqgxIAYZdcfAPg

As it stands she isn't good she can make good story but the rest is well...needs improving.

But the potential is there.

Most music is unfinished or lacks potential and substance however...there are people who have potential who are building themselves up.

I have high hopes for the music of the future and how the stories they weave will influence humanity

RAP: is so bad i given up on it.

bro/pop country: still listen but maybe once a week

Jrock/jpop: trash once didnt like it.

Rock: a little

Metal: alot i thank its the most original as of now.

EDM: not music

GOD PLEASE bring us back to good times.

There's PLENTY, PLENTYYYYY of shitty metal bands/genres.

EDM has become copy paste structurally with different synths/samples aka lazy af

Rap has become shopping lists with autotune aka lazy and if anyone IS actually lyrically good at rapping they wont get any radio play because The Suits at Viacom want to keep the demographic that it appeals to the most (black people) in the dark (no pun intended lmao)

Commercial Country is just......eh....really niche i guess. Definitely doesn't appeal to me lol

I never like jrock/pop or krock/pop. Too much jumbled noises

Music has gotten incredibly less innovative and more of just a marketing platform for people to get rich quick. It's more about the concert experience than the music itself.

I have to agree and echo that if you want more variety and music that you'd like you're going to have to stop being the passive listener making do with what certain stations put out and search for yourself.

I found the topics covered in music has stayed the same, but how they go around saying it to be stupid and offensive, in a way that says "really, you expect me to enjoy this tune about this topic said about this crudely?"

I'm sorry but you clearly haven't looked in depth into soundcloud because if you have you wouldn't be saying that. Here is some good music that you might have missed:

https://soundcloud.com/bsdu/lofihiphop-001

https://soundcloud.com/jinsangbeats/solitude-full-album

The fact that you're blatantly ignoring all their hard work and passion is just flat out insulting. You're stuck in a closed mind and you refuse to go out of your comfort zone. Whatever, you're missing out.

Im open minded but that isn't good music it's Good no GREAT instrumental/sound but that is merely a component of Music.

Sound wise it's ok but it lacks story and lyrics.
Music is like a cake you put the eggs in and forget the flour and milk well...you don't get the best product.

Not saying they aren't hard working or passionate alot of them are however good music contains a story.

I go out of my comfort zone all the time when looking for new music its how i found the best that i have found.

Music without a story can be great but they are husks of what the best music is :P

I will always stay open minded and look for people who continue to improve and go and make pieces of art that piece together all of the components.

I have looked in depth in soundcloud but i will always miss something and if i have then please by all means show me a grand piece of music that tells me a tale that leaves me at awe ^^

Im not ignoring anything i commend them on their work however to me good music tells a story :)

For instance https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PAjJXil3UOE Great Steampunk Story about a war called the copper war and how these guys win it
