He's saying it's human nature that's the source. HAUMHAN NAHTAHCHAUH.

I still think there are two different and equal forces, good and evil. Humans can do good things for the world, and also evil things. If one meddles with both, they are weak, and powerful if they choose one of those moral objections (that's what I believe). I respect nobody who is evil, It's the easy, soulless option in life.

Suffering calms down Hate and gets the whole story about how Hate and Fear broke up, but Fear couldn't leave well enough alone and met up with Anger to try to have it out with Hate, but Hate knew that he wasn't in the right emotional state to deal with Fear's problems, so he went to Suffering. Suffering understands. Suffering has carried a torch for Hate secretly for years, and this is finally her chance. Fear will never know what hit him.

That's perfectly fine, I suppose. I could say what is good for one is evil for another, and vis versa, but that really doesn't matter. As long as you have a clear and consistent idea of what it means to you, that's all that matters.
I think the worst sorts of 'evil' are where people do bad things and justify it as being for the 'greater good', but the most fascinating thing is that all these conversations and thoughts were thought and said hundreds of years ago. We're still re-hashing what it means to be 'evil' or 'good', and that's exciting.

The root of all evil can be selfish motives that harm the interests of others. Interestingly the Capitalist religion justify this root of evil with their preaching: "Greed is the only motivation for hard work and innovation. As such, all human should live in anarchy where the invisible hand, the god of Capitalism, govern the humans. If humans govern themselves, then their innate kindness will ensure equal reward, eliminate incentive for work, encourage laziness, and cause eternal poverty of all. Also, all humans should be subjected to violence, terrorism, deception, chaos, poverty, and lawlessness so they can unlock their hidden godly power to overcome all hardship of life."

Based on how I view evil, I don't think I can say there's a single root. I tend to look at evil more as a perversion of what is good, but that is just my personal view.

But "poetically", I might answer with Pride, as I think humility and the placement of others over yourself would naturally reduce much of the evil in the world. However, even if I call Pride the root of all evil, I don't necessarily think it is inherently evil - just that it tends to lead to evil. Nor (as I said) do I really think it is the only root.

The Answer is Simple: selfishness and you are right about that evil and good in equal parts are the norm in nature. The root of all good of course would be its polar opposite selflessness puttting the concerns of others before yours is in truth purity, one few can attain. Kindness is what should differentiate Humans from beast, a capacity for compassion, mercy and selflessness. Very few humans can be considered above animals from my point of view.

Greed, Selfishness, the lust for Power over something. So, humans.
People are scared of sharks, dogs, etc.
You should be scared of humans.
Humans are the source of "evil".
