At the end of the day, some will like, some will hate, most will accept either (as long as beard is properly trimmed.. most dont like the homeless guy look)

Hello for any girls on CR that would like to comment I'd like a range of opinions

Beard or no beard for dating again single?

I'm 26 german, irish, scandinavian ethnicity, american
I have long dirty blonde hair that is straight and base of neck length, little longer in back. Blue eyes. When i put my hair up i only use wood hair sticks.

Ive had a beard on and off from 14 years old. I go from clean shaven to beard half way down my neck in 4 months easy (wish my hair grew so fast) and i havent been able to really nail down when single if its better to shave or have beard for my odds and appeal. I usually do full beard, or full goatee, trim with 1/4 inch clip or just let it grow then cut down in month or two. I always shave my neck.

Any opinions appreciated just want input on the subject thanks

Hey, it really depends on the girl that you're dating and what she's into.
Everyone has different preferences. So whatever you feel more comfortable with, she's bound to tell you sooner or later anyway if you ask.=)

It depends on your facial features and also how your beard looks, color and so on.

My first husband was blond and polish and he had a gorgeous soft beard and fu manchu moustache that always looked excellent on him. He kept it nicely trimmed (he could grow hair up to his freaking eyeballs - I didn't like it growing all over his face).

My husband now has native american blood, so like many he grows a sort of patchy sparse beard. I like him with a mustache and a neatly trimmed beard on his chin, but he is also beautiful clean shaven. So pretty, in fact, that he is - well - PRETTY. I like that - but some women do not. Like you, he alternates. He'll grow a mustache only for a while, then shave it off, go clean shaven a while, grow the beard a while, shave it off again. I've gotten used to it and I like him however he happens to look that day.

I've dated guys from clean shaven to full beard. Overall I think my preference is a nicely trimmed mustache and maybe a beard on the chin. I don't really like how goatees look, or the soul patch thing. Long full beards ala ZZ Top and Duck Dynasty turn me off completely. (sure, everyone loves Gandalf, but do you want to DATE him?)

Neatly trimmed and groomed is the main thing. I don't think anyone likes the "I forgot to shave for a few days" scruffy look.

I actually choose who I'll date by his personality. Will I enjoy hanging out with this guy? If the answer is no, doesn't matter how good he looks. If the answer is yes, doesn't matter what he looks like. Looks might inspire me to stop and pay a little attention, but if the personality isn't right, I'd never date someone just because of looks.

I'm sure they let you put more than one photo on the profile so put on a couple, one with face fur, one without.

Women I dated in the past made it clear they weren't huge fans of facial hair. When I was younger I grew out a mustache and beard, but now that I am into professional engineering consulting work I don't really have much of a choice anyway if I want to be taken seriously by others in the industry. I know these long beards are coming back into style, but damn with the summer heat nowadays how can people bear having them? To each their own I suppose.

I've moved this over to Advice, Info, Recommendations

Basically this is so much a matter of personal preference that I'm not sure how useful replies are going to be. I'd say adopt a style that you like and feel comfortable maintaining.

I don't have a general preference myself, and a lot is going to depend on how a particular style suits a particular person--and most men can look really good both fully-bearded and clean-shaven or something in between.

So long it fits them and them as a person?

Some people you want to give the right "signal" from, beard means they do this, likes this, knows or working with such things.

From clothes, what you do or not can change how you act or feel about yourself making different choices (some more then others)
From the guy putting on a dress, to a girl putting on his long T-shirt.

I think eyebrows count as facial hair too.
Better take those off.

"facial hair" is my fault. The original title was just "I'd like women's input." I guess I could make it just say "beard or no beard" like the opening post says. I guess I wasn't paying attention when I did that.

It's only bad while it's still in the growth stage. The part where it scratches, anyways. It gets softer the longer it is.

Don't go gandalf lol. Make sure its always well kept and maintained. If you're doing it right you'll look super manly with it and hot
Edit: just saw your photo and I think you should trim it a bit
