Hello.

I shouldn't introduce myself here with a rant topic, but I'm seriously... scared, woah!

I applied for a job to be a part-time waitress at a Japanese restaurant. I don't live in Japan though, don't be mistaken.

Now, the owner of the restaurant is Japanese, so I was right to guess that I'll need some Japanese to communicate with him. I told the HR guy that I have a JLPT N4 language exam (it means low intermediate) and that I study English and Japanese at university. (So my oral skills are low. JLPT doesn't require any oral skills.) In short: I'm not fluent yet.

Furthermore, I only had part-time jobs that didn't require any interviews whatsoever.

He told me that it'll be enough - at this point I thought I'll only need "service Japanese" and the basic conversational stuff with my superiors. You can imagine how relieved I was!

Then a week later he's like "okay, you got an interview with the boss in 5 days, see you there".

With the boss.

So you're stressed out and nervous.
Why though?
If you don't get the job then it's because you couldn't work there. Imagine how stressed out you'd be if you got the job and weren't qualified.
If you don't get the job then you just move on. It's not the end of the world. The world hasn't ended before and it probably wont end because you didn't get a job.
If you do get the job then you'll feel silly for being so nervous in the first place.
Don't worry so much about tomorrow. Today has enough worries of it's own.

Hehe. Listen to me. Someone with an anxiety disorder telling people not to worry.

I wish I had the same views as you!

You see, I really need a job to pay my university expenses - I suddenly got a notice that I have to pay the next semester by October.

Having a job at a Japanese company would mean that I have a permanent job at least until winter. With most of the part-time workplaces in my country, it's always a question whether you'll have a job tomorrow or not.

(And this place would look so great in my CV sighhh)

But I'll try my best not to sweat it. I think I should prepare with some answers and then just hope for the best.

Ok. I wish you luck. That sounds like the thing to do. Prepare and hope for the best. Should also maybe prepare for what to do next if you don't get the job if you haven't already done that.
You should also hit the quote button in the top right if you want people to see responses. I only saw this by chance of checking in on this forum.

Whoops, I'm sorry, I'm not used to Crunchyroll forums (or any forums, really--)

Thanks! I'll look for other jobs from monday, in case I don't get it. Even though I'm 22 I feel like 14 years old not knowing how adult world works. Sigh.

God, I love Vash. I watched that anime in what, 2004? The butterfly-spider paradox still haunts me. I just can't get over it.

Also I think I didn't really understand the ending as a 10 years old, but it was a great anime.

You could watch it again if you like. It's free and legal on Funimation. Dub and all.
