Personally, I cannot see any possibility of this happening.

Portugal already had the once in a decade success of Euros and I still don't know how that happened, they don't have CR7 though and their 23 and younger crowd is nothing special.

Men- Brazil

Home field advantage and they picked 3 very solid older players to represent. Who can hate on Neymar?

Women- USA

Mallory Pugh will be the next Mia Hamm or Carly Lloyd, and the USWNT dominates the way USMNT would if American males cared about the sport.

But since those are claimed I will go for the long shot:

Men- Sweden They are always a dark horse.

Women- China I don't watch a ton of international female games but they impressed in 2014 WWC.

well, I hate him lol
I can't even cheers to brazil since 2010's world cup because of him and many others in the team.
He's a really awful person ( I don't know right now, but he at least used to be)

Good old era when brazil had Pelé, Garrincha, Socrates, Rivelino, Zico, Ronaldo, Ronadinho Gaúcho, Leonidas, Zagalo, Taffarel..

Any specific reason for hating him? I haven't seen anything recently that would indicate he is aside from the tax scandals but in my personal opinion those are extremely hard to hold against him considering everything involved.

I guess it's because I am a Barcelona fan but Dani Alves will always be my favorite Brazilian, Ronaldo is close, Pele is overrated though, IMHO.

I don't know that I would call it crushed (It's 5-4 at the moment, check South Korea vs Fiji 8-0 for that) but it is a clear, clear, mismatch in defense. On both sides defense has been horrible but in this particular game I would say height was pretty decisive. I have to admit I have never really watched the Japanese play but I have to give them credit for how technical they are stunned me at points with how well they can play through pressure.

Your sports anime come to life!

Someone please tell me in high school this guy had a rivalry with a player from another school that went a bit beyond friendship.

Oh and a bunch of great matches today. Almost everyone scored......except brasil.
