Wow, I was looking forward to it and it still managed to surpass my expectations Even Demizu's color sketches are great, but his clean work is just amazing. Probably my favorite 1st chapter I've read from jump start since I joined.

I'm interested in seeing how long this series will be contained to the world within the orphanage. With Bleach and Nisekoi ending, hopefully I'll get to see it play out in EWSJ

It was alright. Kimetsu no Yaiba was way better, personally.

A very strong first chapter! If this replaces Nisekoi or Bleach, I would be fine with that!

Fuck, this is honestly one of the best manga I have ever read, why is nobody talking about it? All the characters are superbly written, the story twists and turns constantly in new and unpredictable ways but it never feels forced or out of nowhere, the antagonist is both sympathetic and threatening as fuck and the connection the reader feels is as strong as steel. Everything about this story is done so well, the emotion, the horror, the suspense, the mystery, all of it is engrossing in a way I almost never see from fiction on such a well balanced scale.

To be fair, the artwork can be fairly underwhelming at times, but the brilliant writing more than makes up for it. Viz Media really ought to release the series physically. When they do I plan on buying as many volumes as I can and re read them because of how great this series is. Seriously people, please read this series if you aren't already. You're losing out if you don't.

Maybe the reason we don't talk about it is because it is so amazing that we are speechless

Hmm. Good point. But it would still be nice to have a discussion on it.

This is a relatively new manga (under 2 years). But if you wait for 3-4 years and there's anime adaptation, you can see it became popular.

Not to mention this is difference from usual Shonen Jump manga. It have a)strong female protagonist b)no fanservice. Is there any Shonen Jump manga featuring female lead without fanservice that get really popular? Exactly.

Based on the popularity, I give it another year and a half before an anime adaption

Eh I don't really know if this will do anything new as an anime besides make it more popular maybe. I'm just wondering if the story will continue past when they escape and how far (assuming they even do escape).
