Do you donate blood?
Posted 8/1/16
No. Not once have I been asked to donate blood in this country. Not once have I heard of anyone been asked to donate blood. And not once have I seen an advertisement about it.

Besides. We have secret underground blood farms on Svalbard where we squeeze low-income Americans dry. It helps against poverty in the U.S., and we get free blood in return (to put in our blood puddings). It's win-win.

I nearly passed out the first time I tried, since I was unused to needles back then. Ah, to be so young again...

After that, I had surgeries and chemo, and now that I really don't mind being poked, they don't want my blood. Too much platinum and such in there last I heard, unfortunately.

I'm too scared of seeing my own blood being drawn. I'm fine with needles, I'm fine with bleeding, but I'm not fine with bleeding into a needle on purpose. It freaks me out for some reason.

Also, it would mean I need to leave the house.

Besides the fact that I'm extremely self-centered, I do not enjoy needles of any kind...and the thought of my blood in someone else grosses me out.

I've tried to a few times but was told I couldn't because it turns out I have iron deficiency
Posted 8/1/16
No, but I've been thinking about it. I was always scared off because of the needles and what not.

I would but I have a huge fear of blood. Even getting my blood taken for a psychical makes me want to throw up, may have happened before.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe I am B negative which is less common?

So I always donate when I go to the hospital for my bi-annual orthopedic follow ups

I've never donated. I don't even know my blood type to be honest (it's probably A or O since both my parents are both A; I think that's how it works).

Probably wouldn't be a good idea though. I don't drink enough, so I would probably get dizzy
