if i were to guess from my own experience, i'd say revenge stems from the cumulative stress of being frustrated at your own weaknesses.

many unfortunate events can occur in one's past, which would result in minor/major trauma that would effect someone in years to come, consciously, subconsciously, unconsciously, etc. the feeling of one's mental/physical fragility, even just remembering, would probably in one way or another cause the desire to rectify it either productively or impulsively.

if such trauma were directly aimed at someone, i could imagine the emotional turmoil of having that person still out there being a physical embodiment of one's suffering, if not those who resemble them physically or mentally. revenge on such people may become a niche, but the wound still lurks i would imagine.

that's my guess anyway. would you consider your own hatred and animosity to be a product of your own cracks in ability/character? if so, how would you go about rectifying the revenge boner?

Nope he didn't give me anything. I haven't seen/talked to him since Friday. If he brings it up then I'll tell him. Otherwise I planned on just letting it go.

Well, I do have a bit of a sore spot anytime anyone mentions my intelligence.

Let your haters do what they do best........HATE. Do you believe in karma? If so then don't worry about revenge just let it go.
