Tell my lover to stay very quiet and very still until the bear has their fill and leaves, and then probably pack up our things and go once the bear has fully left and we know that it's safe to go out. While I've never actually seen a bear that close, I did used to go camping with my family as a kid and we were always told if a bear comes around or if you see a bear, near you or in the distance, DO NOT approach it. If you do, you could anger it easily. You never know what the bear might do or if it's a mama bear and you could have possibly separated it from where it's cub or cubs are on accident. Mama bears are very protective of their young and if you separate her from them, even on accident and even if you appear friendly, she will attack.

Hope the bear has peanut allergy as it's scoffing all my (peanut butter) sandwiches.

We would try to get out of the tent without making a lot of noise. Hopefully the bear is more focus on the food than the noise of the tent zipper. We would rush to the car, drive away and warn nearby campers of the bear before notifying the forest ranger.

Great comments, cool people.

It's already eating. I'll just get up and try and leave. Quietly. If it looks like a threat I'll scream at the bear as loud as I can while stomping around and being as intimidating as possible. If the bear attacks me then I'll fight it as hard as I can. If I'm gonna die then I might as well try.

If my girlfriend stops to pick up shit, she's probably dead, 'cause beach, I'm leaving-- with or without you.

Here is a true story as told by one of my high school teachers during alumni weekend (some of the alumni were with him on this trip).

My world history teacher, Mr. Spano, once chaperoned a group of pathfinders (similar to scouts), on a camping trip to the Smokey Mountains National Park. Apparently during the first night they were in the campground, he woke up to a stabbing pain. He realized when he tried to move that a bear had bitten him through the tent and his sleeping bag in his rump area and was trying to pull him out of the tent - collapsing it while it pulled. He let out a yell probably more of a scream which alerted the other campers and started trying to get away from the bear...and untangle himself from the collapsed tent and sleeping bag... In the meantime, the kids and other chaperones woke up and came out of their tents to see what the ruckus was all about...at that point everyone went into high gear - some of the chaperones started herding the kids into the vans they had come in, while others grabbed flashlights and limbs from the fire and tried to drive the bear away...eventually they succeeded in driving it away long enough to grab Mr. Spano who was in bad shape by then, throw him into one of the vans, and everyone went to the hospital while the kids in the van got to practice their first aid. They called parents and had them pick up their kids from the hospital, and the next morning the adults went back and collected their belongings from the campground. Apparently they said the bear had been back because a lot of their stuff had been torn up or thrown around in its search for food. Once they got their stuff they alerted the rangers of what had happened. Mr. Spano eventually recovered from the attack - and lived to tell the story at our alumni gathering. I never found out what happened to the bear...but several of the alumni were the kids who had been on that particular camping trip.

In case you don't believe a bear would bite through your tent/sleeping bag, here's a news article about another instance it has happened: http://www.wbir.com/news/local/appalachian-trail-hiker-bit-by-a-bear/185579577

Didn't know the ass could smell like honey
Good it didn't bite anywhere else or went on a rampage (as it wasn't a critical bite was it, more a flesh wound?)

Yes, it was a tear wound...plus he had to get rabies shots since they didn't know if the bear might have been infected...standard procedure for any animal bite where they can't test the animal for it.

Hope they have a better plan than I do because mine would be to not move and hope it goes away and if it doesn't then try and intimidate it into leaving

I think about this situation, and then realize it's not happening, and that's it is just a Crunchyroll thread. I promptly realize this would never happen, because I could never find a lover that loves free(as in freedom) software as much as me.

Free software... Windows... Hahaha! Hold on while I open up my repository full of 60,000 free software.
