A friend of mine posted this on facebook as something he found in an international food store in Indiana. He really wanted to know what the story is behind this stuff. So what better venue to get to the true meanibg than this forum.

That is the Moko Moko Mokolet 3 Candy Toilet Kit. I don't really know the story behind it. Japan is just Japan.

Here are some YouTube videos.

I don't know any background about this, but can only translate the writing on the box as best I can. As others have said, it's called Mokomoko Mokoretto 3, worldwide "edition." There are for kinds in total: French, American, Japanese, and Chinese toilets, as depicted. "Fluffy delicious 'aku' (アク?) comes out from a cute miniature toilet." I don't know what aku is in this context- presumably the foam like stuff depicted. There are three flavors to enjoy: cider, melon soda, and strawberry. The box also says it's the white Japanese toilet that's inside this particular box, that there's no actual fruit juice in this candy, and that the pictures are just examples, as it were, and that there can be variation from the actual product. The toilets are each also saying greetings in their native languages respectively.

It says "awa" (アワ) which means bubbles, suds, or--in this case--foam. The ク and ワ characters are pretty easy to confuse, especially when they're rendered so roughly like that.

so which part is the candy? Just the foam or the foam and the toilet both?

I'm kinda surprised that I'm not surprised that this candy exists

All I can think about is that episode of Bob's Burgers where Gene befriended the talking toilet...

Funnily enough I have that exact same thing sitting behind me in a box from tokyo treat. It's a cute DIY candy kit where you make candy in a toilet. It's japan, just accept they'll make any and everything cute.
