We don't get to choose whether we want to be born on earth. It's all left up to our parents.

However, if the decision was left up to you , like say you're an unborn soul up in heaven and God calls you to his office and tells you, he says, "You see a couple on earth is making out and the guy is about to knock up the woman. Do you want to be born and have life on earth or do you wanna stay up here in heaven?"

I would tell God, "No thank you. I'm perfectly happy in heaven."

What would you say?

Honestly, I was hoping this was going to be about the moral and ethic contradictions that natalist states willingly ignore.
But so that I don't get of track, if of course, I could reside in an afterlife forever, never growing bored. I would have failed in every manner.
And thus would seek to live, if only to gain the potential to die and hopefully fade into true oblivion. The insidious horror of this is, were I to freeze myself in a foolish attempt to avoid an eternity of contentment, it would feel as though not a moment had passed, and would realize I could never sever the ties of fate, no matter how I tried. This would probably brake my mind.

"Let me be born, but let me pick the couple."

My soul is energy anyway, so I might as well get a taste of life in a dense vessel for a few miniscule human years before I explore something else.

Of course I would choose birth over non-existence!

"So your giving me the choice of probation or "paradise"... hmmmmm I think you already know my answer."
