I thought rotten tomatoes is a platform for the audience to review a movie. I don't really see the point in using a picture of it while complaining about critics.

Rotten Tomatoes IS a critic site--It may include those millennial net-critics who publish reviews on established blogs and movie-news sites, but it features the NYT, Variety, etc. reviews into the percentages. (And highlights the "real" critics from actual newspapers with stars.)
https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/suicide_squad_2016/
It may even be true that most critics are reviewing Squad for being "more BvS", and punishing the son for the sins of the father.
At least it's getting real bad reviews, about the messy script and inconsistent directorial tone, which Snyder would have been glad to get on the BvS reviews.

But what this is is more DC Fans trying to circle the wagons and saying all those "mean critics" are against them, just because Zack Snyder and David Ayer set out to make dark, messy DC movies ultra-targeting ultra-fans, and missing everybody else.
And then crying that critics and studios "kiss up to Disney/Marvel", just because Marvel knows enough to try and persuade mainstream non-fan audiences about the appeal of their heroes and try to win converts, instead of blasting existing hardcore fans with dark private geek-orgies--And saying "All Marvel movies are kiddy-quipping clowns!" just because those movies use actual humor and try to appeal to more than one audience.

True to character, DC fans are responding in a...presidential fashion:
"Movie critics who said mean things about BvS and Squad are acting completely irresponsible and unprofessional for their insulting comments, and should not be allowed to do their job!--Tweet now for their immediate removal!"

I was looking forward to your response on this topic, and it does not disappoint.

AHAHAHAHAHA I knew this was going to happen I could tell from the trailer even though people praise Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn I didn't really like her in the role even if she is easily the best thing about the movie.

Is anyone surprised the movie sucked? It's DC this was like DC's chance to not fuck up but they did and now I don't see how anyone can look forward to the Wonder Woman movie since obviously D.C. can't get their act together. .

Granted I have a hard time ever believing Rottens tomatoes though I would believe it more thean IMDB. I rather see the movie see if I liked it.
I saw Suicide Squad and I did not like it the animated movie was way better.

These are the same super D.C. fanboys crying outrage because BVS wasn't very good either
They make a conscious effort to ignore Lex Luther and the overwhelming plotholes.
The movie this year are dissapointing, Warcraft was bad, BVS was bad, and Suicide Squad bad.
Only enjoyment I had was at Hardcore Henry and Civil War.
There isn't much left this year but maybe Rogue Squadron will be good at the very least better then boring Force Awakens.

I never really listen to critics. I usually just ask friends who have already seen the movies to give me a thumbs up or down haha.

I was looking forward to the movie, but the PG-13 rating and the 100 minute runtime torpedoed my expectations. I'll wait until I see it myself before judging it, though.

Saw it 2 hours ago, its ok. Nothing to write home about, good action but too many villains that the first quarter of the movie is pretty much just a recap of their lives and how they ended up in prison. Hell, the scene in some of the trailers where the pyro dude asking for water wasn't even played in the actual movie.

Doesn't Warner Brothers actually own a portion of Rotten Tomatoes though? You'd think if the reviews would be swinging in anyone's favor, it would be theirs

It probably does suck , but I won't even watch it unless someone buys it and throws it on.

Like every DC, Marvel movie bullshit that comes out. After a while it just gets so boring, if it weren't for the great actions scenes, or fancy gadgets and widgets, 75% of the movie is actually awful.

Like if I talk some shit about star wars the force awakens, like the villain being the biggest pussy in a star wars film, people would be up in arms about it ready to cut my throat.

Crazy man, so civilized and shit.

This is my feeling on the movie exactly. It never appealed to me in the first place, so I don't really care.
