lol what? Gon?

I think with his power he has to, maybe. Remember when he had his neck crushed he still had to udder the words.

yea and also in the anime bisky mentioned that it was stupid of gon to announce his attack out loud.

Because it sounds cooler to announce the attack. You get extra coolness factor points when you announce to everyone that you are using a secret technique, never once being bothered by the fact that once you announce it, it is no longer a secret.

Because little kids think it's cool.

My thoughts in every action anime lol.

I think that's why I really think One Punch Man is great. No need for names for Saitama. He just punches & it's over. haha

I view it as the same reason you speak to yourself; think of it as a clarification of whatever spell/ability so they can visualize it. There is no logical reasoning for it, it's just instinct. It's also a proven fact that exerting a scream/yell can actually help you(in the study) lift more weight. So from a reasonable perspective they may just do it as an instinct of "letting everything out"[i.e. a grunt- if you're curious to this study you can go watch an episode of sports science where they actually do the same study of a man who breaks cinder blocks. The exhalation and sudden release of air gives you that extra momentum added with adrenaline to make the finishing move.]

As for logic it's anime, don't think too hard about it lulz.

It doesn't make sense to me. Is there a logical reason behind this? The only shounen that doesn't do this is HxH.

Gon doesn't yell Jan-ken? As a matter of fact I think he used that against one of his enemies. Tricking them by yelling something else.

Wait, wait, wait.. I've had One Punch Man on hold bc I haven't had much time to continue watching it so I don't know how it'll end.

After watching a lot of shonen I don't care at all what people think about characters shouting their attacks, I no longer mind the characters doing that anymore. But apparently people in Disney believe that doing that is cool because Star Butterfly in Star vs The Forces of Evil (awesome show btw) shouts the names of her magic attacks each and every time she uses them. It's becoming more and more common to see characters do that because a lot of cartoon creators today are heavily inspired by anime, and depending on the attack and the fight it can make the action a lot cooler.

Are you saying that if you had the ability to do anime magic powers, you wouldn't shout the names of your attacks? and then strike a pose? Cuz I would.

Ginyu Force 4 life.
