"Americans" sort of include Canadians and anyone in South America, so what do we call people from the U.S.? United Statisons?

Well, most people won't think of Canadians, or Mexicans, or Central Americans, or South Americans when they hear "Americans" but that's not really a good thing I think. Folks in another forum I used to frequent long long ago would usually write USians instead of Americans.

(ETA: I don't know how you would actually pronounce USians. I think when I see it I usually imagine You-Es-ee-enz; but it could be You-see-enz or Oo-see-enz or You-shins or ...)

Ouch, right, stat-ison might not catch on too well.

But, OOZ-ian... I think this could be the beginning of a new age, lorreen. We will be in wikipedia for this.

I used to say any of the first 4, but I started calling it America because that's what everyone says to me while living in Europe. No point in creating confusion if everyone else wants to call it America lol.
