Post Reply Is creative writing really that hard to do?

Not if you have a vivid imagination and aptitude for creating worthy plots. I've never had trouble with creating stories. It was the easiest thing for me to do when it came to school projects. All you really do is vibe off of one idea until you have many little ideas that connect to the big picture.

Coming up with new ideas is creative enough.

Couldn't put it any better myself.

Different from person to person.
But the problems arise if you want money.

Depends on the topic, like in class, writing a love story for me was rather hard but writing a horror story was easy for me.

Yes, it can be difficult. However, my husband is constantly writing some fantastic stories. I work in a technical writing field. That's not to say I can't be creative. I just don't have the drive to create using written word. So, for me, it doesn't come naturally.

Whenever there's writers' block I pray for elasticity in all things made from fiber.
