Quite a Shock Again ! This is not the First Poll this Summer that show the hyphed blockbuster shows not ( or on the poll at all ) that strong ! Some of my Top favorites arent on there either ! Again this a Japanese poll / but they probally mean more than us in the US or other parts of the World.

And I am not sure if this was for Summer Debuts only ? The gap is huge this summer!

The Slice of lifes / comedy are tops and there is a 3 way tie for 5TH

Hey I am just the Messenger but I think the pre hype was so overblown and maybe this wiil wake up the publicitly depts at the streaming sites not to overdo their rollouts!

Shows like Mob Psycho / Beserk / 91 Days / Battery etc MIA The comments section is in shock! I flipped for easier view

Yeah the lack of ReLife is kinda shocking, was the best show of the season. "Sweetness and Lightning "and "Handa-kun" make sense though for being high up. A lot of the action series this season were niche, like video game related material, or were just bad.

For Re- LIfe they had it earlier I think in Winter

And IDK anout carryover -anime like Re Zero / Marcross which they have legally ( well I watch too thre Dark side )

Some of the SOL show are in top 15 easily so no surprise there ! But The action shows are missing

One this is a guess MOB PYSCHO has 2 issues / The first people wanted a 2nd seson of One Punch Man / also some fand dont t like the artwork.

Yea this is what the Japanese anime fans are liking / the big difference is the action shows which some I dropped too!

I think I dropped more shows this season than any other. Still happy(ish) overall with the list.

I've noticed this trend in bluray sales listings. Stuff like Is The Order A Rabbit? were topping the charts when they were released. SoL (and specifically seinen publication serialized SoLs) do really well in Japan.

My staple anime and manga diet is SoLs anyway so I like that this is the case.

Sweetness & Lighting is my favorite of the season, and I'm pretty psyched to see that Japan is loving it. Hopefully, that enthusiasm leads to a second season! Conversely, I thought Amanchu would be better received.

The slice of life genre has been on fire this year. The only thing that could make it better if there's another Non Non Biyori season or OVA.
