Wilmington, North Carolina (CNN) Donald Trump set off a fierce new controversy Tuesday with remarks about the right to bear arms that were interpreted by many as a threat of violence against Hillary Clinton.

"Hillary wants to abolish -- essentially abolish the Second Amendment. By the way, if she gets to pick, if she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I don't know," Trump said.
He added: "But I tell you what, that will be a horrible day, if Hillary gets to put her judges in, right now we're tied."
Trump's ambiguous comments alarmed some political observers as to whether he was threatening her life or calling for increased political activity.
Robby Mook, Clinton's campaign manager, issued a two-sentence statement in response to Trump.
"This is simple -- what Trump is saying is dangerous. A person seeking to the be president of the United States should not suggest violence in any way," he said.

I'm honestly not surprised. This current election has really shown the great level of dissatisfaction with the establishment. Trump seems to wearing down and the longer this drags out, the worse he will likely do in the general election.

This is his, no pun intended, Trump card >_>

That's concerning. Some of his supporters might be unhinged enough to actually try it.

I THINK he thought he meant he could rally the Second Amendment supporters to throw scare-tactics about Hillaryz will Takez our Gunz (and as usual, said, "Eh, you guys know how to do that stuff all the time, so, uh, you go ahead and do it for me, 'kay?")
That's not what the supporters heard, and that's not what the press heard. And now we just have to solidly establish whether he was un-dim enough to realize that.

(It was an afterthought, and he thought he was being funny.
Please be funny some more, Don, you haven't lost all your votes yet...)

You know what, even if this was supposed to be a joke (which it very likely was), that's a pretty inappropriate thing to say when you're running to be the leader of a nation. Vaguely suggesting that if he loses the election and Hillary starts appointing more liberal Supreme Court Justices (thunder in background) then people might be able to vaguely use their Second Amendment rights (the ones that involve weapons) to take an unspecific action to stop her. That's edging pretty close to the line of decency, no matter what your intentions are.

Once again the media hype machine blows everything out of proportion. None of them are good candidates but I can't even fathom how anyone would ever vote for Hillary. She's got more skeletons in her closet than a Halloween supply store.

Well what do you expect? This is how they were with Mitt Romney back in the 2012 election too, difference was the Mitt didn't fight back. But, it doesn't matter as long as it hurts the party that they want to lose in the election. If any of the 16 other republican candidates were the nominee, the media still would act this way.
