So Chrome is killing Flash next month, and we all know that CR's video player needs Flash to work. Will CR finally upgrade to HTML5? I could use Edge but I'd like to keep using Chrome if possible.

Are you guys concerned about this?

In December, Chrome 55 will make HTML5 the default experience, except for sites which only support Flash. For those, you’ll be prompted to enable Flash when you first visit the site.

Not concerned. At worst, it looks like we'll have to click through a prompt to enable Flash on the site. It would be nice if CR could replace the Flash player and make some improvements in the meantime, but I rather doubt that this move is going to incite that change. Honestly, I'd much rather see improvements made to the manga portion of the site. As it is, I find it to be barely usable.

Seeing as I primarily only use chrome anymore I won't like it if they don't upgrade. Only other thing browser I have is the IE that came with the computer.

What player does Crunchy use for the apps? If it is something other than Flash, couldn't they switch to that?

It is your option to not update chrome. Crunchyroll have a variety of devices that is available, Google Chrome is not the only one around, use Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge or Mozilla Firefox.
Crunchyroll at the moment is contract forced to use flash player on web site.

Not a problem since I watch CR on xbox.
If I were to use my computer I'd use the app for win10.

Firefox previous version did that.. After updating to latest Version few months ago, it autoually uninstall the Flash, but I had to download them in order to watch CR! >.<. Also some site required Flash.

Just need to use "ask to activate" instead of allow to activate itself.. Its more secured if you chose the option where it'll required to ask for your permission.

No their not removing it, their just not gonna make flash content active be default. Removing flash would be a market suicide for Google and Chrome since plenty of google services use flash plus the fact that most of the web have to some degree flash content. Yes CR dumping flash would be nice and all, but HTML5 doesn't allow them the same freedom when it comes to protecting their series from being illegally downloaded

Nope not concerned at all. You can already use HTML5 with chrome anyway.

I don't know what would cause it to be a problem with one browser but not another besides flash things. I can't fix that but I can offer an alternative in the form of a chrome extension I made that can be found here. It replaces the default flash player with an HTML5 one that plays the HLS streams that are served to the apps.

Let me know if it helps.
