I don't even really like people in "real life" using my name, outside of family.

Fine with it. My name is what people call me, that doesn't change online if people would prefer it that way.

It doesn't bother me at all. People can call me by my real name whenever they want.

Online name is Kevz, so that works or Kev or Kevin, but offline I usually go by my last name due to my first name being so common. That being said, I like to keep my last name and exact location private when online except among close friends.

No, my name is strictly personal. I don't know why maybe because I hate it. I remember almost getting into a fist fight because my cousin kept calling me by my names nickname when we were little. Either that or I just don't like my cousin.

No. In fact, I prefer it if people don't even know my real name. I like to interact with others through a facade. And actually, I even prefer for the person I'm interacting with to have a facade. I'd rather not use someone else's real name and I prefer people who don't go by their real name or photo online

It's just a personal thing. I said this in another thread (I forget where), but sometimes I wish it was common practice to wear masks in public like the Carnival of Venice so that people could interact with a facade rather than you personally. Not only would it help to eliminate status division and pre-judgement, but I also feel like it would allow you to express a "truer" version of yourself - the "you" that you want to be.

The persona I've built through my current (and previous) online handles feel more like "me" than my real name, _______ _____, does. In a sense, it almost feels like Cait Sidhe is like a real name and my true name is more like a facade. Heck, I didn't even choose it!

I tell people right on my profile that they can call me Denis if they want.

Doesn't bother me none.

I'm fine with it either way. My real name is a name passed down through my family for generations, so I take great pride in it. *Sparkle sparkle.* (Quite literally. In fact, I'm actually the eighth generation Ron amazingly enough. Would I call my future child Ron to keep the tradition going? Nah. It'd be cool, but I've got way better names in mind ha ha.)

It doesn't bother me theoretically; but since I don't give out my real name online, if someone just started calling me that it would be pretty creepy.

I'm from the generation that was taught to never give out information online, so no. I never want anything resembling my name to appear online.
