So what are you primarily called by your friends and classmates? Share stories on how you got your nick name if its unrelated to your first or last (sur-) name.

Nick name , I strongly discourage the use of my real name as I do not wish to give my worthless biological parents a shred of dignity. And if legal name changes weren't so difficult I'd have changed my real name by now. I haven't had to tell anyone to call me by nick name in a while though it's become habit for anyone who knows me.

The nick name itself is Scars, I am assuming cause I have a lot of them. Never been one to back down from any kind of fight after all. And well I've paid for that kind of attitude with a lot of cuts, slashes, stabs, bruises, and the odd broken bone.

Usually my first name. Sometimes a shortened version of it.

I don't know how it got to this point, but my brother calls me "John" which is not even close to my name Funny thing is, I actually answer to it

It's just Denis, man. Yes, my given first name that is spelled with one "n".

It's pretty short on it's own, and Den just doesn't sound right to me. lol

Shortened first name on account that I'm not too fond of the full name "Ronald" (unless used with my full name which makes it sound all elegant and fancy; the only thing I'm missing is being knighted by the queen so I could add "sir" to my name ha ha) and I'm not too fond of being called "Ronnie" either. (I've also been called "Ronnie-boy", "Rhonda", and many other variations.)

First name, although I have been called many things over the years, because I've got a silly name and every bastard thinks they're a comedian. I've heard them all before. You're not funny. A few people call me by my surname. My other family members of similar age, cousins etc. get called by the surname but I don't anywhere near as much, just by the few people that are close with my cousins too. Oh, and one annoying little git calls me Dad.
