Disclaimer: This thread is about delicious consumables so avert thine eyes young children :)

Thanks to PV's Christmas thread I am now craving egg nog which in turn for some odd make's me crave the creaminess of Bailey's. Unfortunately Bailey's has evil milk which I have discovered I am slightly allergic to (sadness I know). Undaunted I explored new options and came across a magical recipe involving coconut milk. My question to you is have you ever crafted your own concoction? Baked with booze? Tinkered with Tequila? Labored in your liquor laboratory? Ok, I'm done :)

Share your magic and or mishaps :)

And as always:

I've tried all sorts of different kinds of alcoholic beverages, but I've never really mixed much of my own drinks, except for like rum and Coke, the soda, not the drug, and easy things like that. I've found that I hate most beers but like wine and most of the sweeter stuff, and that certain ones make me buzzed easier than others. I honestly prefer the non-alcoholic kind of eggnog, but I have had the alcoholic kind before and as long as it's not too heavy on the alcohol, I like it.

i prefer vodka to other things. wine is okay to good depending on the type, but i mostly mix vodka with something else if and when i have alcohol. beer is often too sour even by my standards unless it's the sweet kind...

Had a friend mix vodka and lemonade. It wasn't too bad when I tried it.

I really don't mix anything, I prefer to drink scotch, whiskey, tequila, or rum just straight. I don't like sweet drinks and I despise vodka.

I go 1/3 vodka, 2/3 bleach.

I have made beer, ale and moonshine. My folks taught me to do that stuff.

I only really liked the Moonshine out of the three though. But it is a nice skill to have.

Anyway, actual mixing not so much.

I can get behind rum and cola, but the sweet rum is perfect already the way she is.

Really at this Captain Morgan understands me better than anyone else. Sweet rum is there to share happiness and there to support you when sad.

I've never really made a lot other than limoncello and usually some sangria in the summer. I leave the mixing to the experts.

The only thing I mix is white russians. Other than that, the most adventurous I get is occasionally putting ice in a whisky.

Shhh. I won't tell anyone

After I turned 21, drinking was like meh. Once I could do it, it lost its allure.

They suck.

Except when they don't.

Mixing cream, Jägermeister, Bärenfang, and milk together results in a concoction that tastes similar to Bailey's. Amounts of the igredients are to be adjusted to taste, but I recommend an initial ratio of 1:5 for the alcohol to milk/cream.

My latest experiment is one to one and-a-half shots of Jägermeister with one small bottle of Malta India. The molasses-like taste of Malta India goes well with the licorice flavor of Jägermeister.
