I used to smoke quite a bit. Packed it in a few years back. I'm of the opinion that people can do what they want with it, as long as they understand that there may be side effects with prolonged usage. I'm a dad so I decided that the risk wasn't worth it anymore, but I'm not going to berate others for thinking otherwise.

I've seen that be a positive thing for people with medical issues. Similarly, had a lot of friends partake with little to no problems. Everything in moderation.

I don't use myself, but if it ever became necessary as an option for treatment of a medical problem, I would.

I smoked daily for almost 10 years, and quit a few years back. I can't say that I've noticed any long-term effects. By all means I'm a healthy, semi-intelligent, and somewhat productive member of society. I believe that marijuana is less harmful than alcohol in every way, and if alcohol is legal then marijuana should be as well.

Although there certainly are health hazards associated with chronic, heavy recreational marijuana use, use among those at risk of cardiovascular disease, use among those who are at particular risk of developing schizophrenia, and use among minors, these risks pale in comparison to the damage done by pointlessly striving to maintain prohibition. All banning recreational marijuana use/sale accomplishes is empowering criminal syndicates by shutting legitimate businesses out of the market, surrendering any assurance of product safety, quality control, and provision of accurate product information to consumers, setting an enormous amount of potential tax revenue on fire, unnecessarily impeding important research into cannabinoids' properties and potential uses by inappropriately scheduling them, and creating a prison system overburdened with inmates who have no legitimate need to be incarcerated.

It kills your emotions and your feeling to care about any situation that doesn't affect your high. For example: "Baby crying? So what?" Sure, it removes some stress, but it does so by just making you not care about anything. That is why I view it to be a terrible thing.
