Personally, I love the storylines which seem more in common to my own personal values as a Korean American. There is a strong focus on the importance of family as a theme which you don't see much of on American shows. Many of the events that occur in the dramas are of everyday lives and social interactions among family members, lovers, friends, neighbors and coworkers which remind us about our own lives and people we interact with. The actors, especially the actresses are so beautiful, it's a treat to see them. There are so many wonderful soundtracks and I truly mean this since I probably have/own more songs/OSTs of dramas and movies than I've seen. Case in point, I have all the OSTs for the 4 Endless Love dramas but haven't seen any of them yet. Last reason is these dramas help me to identify and learn more about my cultural roots as well as being a good medium to retain/learn the Korean language. |

local tv stations here in our place introduced kdramas, i got curious on how they deliver stories and that's the main reason why i started to like it..they got different approach i think, or maybe im just too tired of watching our local dramas.. ^_^
and then kdramas introduce me to a new culture, a new place, a new language < that i want to learn but no time to learn it..thanks for the subs!> kdramas make me smile and even cry! |

It's because the characters are interesting or my ideal type (hottie but an asshole, or a guy who is really sweet to his girl)
and because (most of the time) the story is logical and to some degree believable (that it can be happening in real life) The episodes end at a very interesting point, keeping me all alert and ready to see the next epi |

I like to watch them because it's awesome that no matter what ethnicity you are, love is always something that people are willing to fight for and I think that's really cool. I also like to see how people from another culture other than mine lives, it's like looking into someones window and spying on their lifestyle. Also they are alot more interesting than anything on t.v. nowadays which i consider crap most of the time. Oh and yeah lest i forget, those korean hotties that just take one's breathe away.

I like them because they are so darn ADDICTING. It's like crack on a screen. lol
The shows don't drag on and on like American television. They're like long miniseries. You get tons of good plot, and then they wrap things up without a bagillion loose ends..unlike American television that always wants to leave room to make another season. Also, they are just eye candilicious. Be honest, you know you started half of the shows you've seen because your favorite hottie was starring in it. |

the story are short... and you dont have to wait for months to know the twist or the ending..
the stories are fun and cute... (i sometimes dnt like to wtch heavy drama bcoz, it makes ur lyf more miserable..) i like the love - hate stories...^^ maybe, the actresses and actors also help..^^ |

Because:
it distracts me it makes me "leave" our world full of work for another world where I forget everything till finish an episode it makes me not forget Korean words and it makes me remind how Korea is great! (when I watch Korean dramas so) I love dramas yeah. |
