Define "Real Man"
Posted 8/14/16 , edited 8/14/16
What do you think defines a real man? Lets look past stereotyped generalizations of what a real man is supposed to be and get down to the meat of it. How do they act? What personality traits do they posses? Other than biological make-up make up what separates men from boys?

A "real man" could equate to someone who has ascertained a certain degree of awareness of self and responsibility that is highly distinguishable from childhood, however that chooses to express itself.

Depends on the society. An admirable man in my view is someone who is dependable, brave and strong.

A real man is a real man. Why does that have to be defined? We are all different, but have the same basic needs. We all have emotions, yet express them differently. Some people are more productive in society than others. Does that make them any more real than another? In my opinion, there is no solid cut off from when a boy becomes a man. We are just people that are growing and learning, and each at their own pace.

I'd say this is the best reply to the question so far.

The same as a "real woman"; a person who does and says what is morally/ethically right even when it is unpopular and takes responsibility for their action/words.
