That's a bit of a marketing gimmick. A lot of electronic components are washable if any residual electric/static charge has been dispersed. In other words (though I doubt many people actually do, or have the need to do, it) you can run circuit boards, mechanical mice, and keyboards through a dishwasher, leave them out to dry completely, and reconnect them none the worse for wear. That's under pretty ideal conditions, though, you shouldn't do that with anything other than distilled water.

I have a Razer Blackwidow 2013 edition, which is, from what I hear, the last year they used Cherry MX switches and moved to their "Razer switches" which are, in reality, Kaihls. the Cherry Blue clicky sound doesn't bother me at all, not to mention that the keyboard has been good to me with little malfunction.

That said, I think it is about time that I move to something else, my brother has a pretty nice Corsair keyboard with Cherry Browns, multi sectional backlighting, and a good feel to the keys, and it feels a bit more durable than the Blackwidow, though the Blackwidow is itself already pretty durable so there's something to be said in that. Said Corsair keyboard was, last I checked, 20 more than what I paid for this Blackwidow too. You get what you pay for.

Still, I'm happy overall with it. Good to game and type on.
