This. It wouldn't be free, we'd pay for it in taxes. h

exactly but that's how it should be.

its simply not realistic at this time tho

The U.S spends 600 billion on its military. Cut that in half and it would still double more than its nearest rival AND free up $1000 per citizen a year. That alone can cover dental and vision and not everyone will have to use it every year so the number would actually be higher.

But muh world police.

I mean that genuinely by the way, not as some sort of dig at the US. To an outsider it seems a bit like you're convinced that anything even remotely more socially conscious with regard to money is tantamount to communism.

This is true and very frustrating for many US citizens. Unfortunately, changing a mindset isn't easy, and many seem just as keen to believe nonsense they've come across on social media or bias "news" outlets, rather than actually educating themselves.

where would one even start in educating themselves when online searches often go towards bias articles anyway? finding sources in themselves seem rather difficult considering said sources would have only their degree, name, and experience to go off on (or maybe more). then there's the matter of reading the source of information in itself and analyzing it with other sources of information. would it be fair to say that the act of trusting sources would be difficult itself?

Nothing in life is free. Healthcare is not a human right, nor is food/water and shelter. Healthcare, food/water, and shelter are a responsibility, to oneself, to ones family. But we've gone way past the point of thinking that someone should be responsible for anything anymore. Papa/Mama government will take care of all. Just don't be surprised when Papa/Mama Government decides it knows what is best for you in every aspect of your life.

Honestly I'd be satisfied if we can end this ridiculous war between providers and insurance companies. We are who suffer from their bullshit. I'll be okay with free healthcare too but it's really just a bandaid solution. I'm tired of seeing countries like South Korea get this shit right (and broadband internet) while this shit goes unchecked here.

I don't care how, lets get this shit fixed.

i believe that the health care system in Canada works it may not be perfect but what is if wasn't for that i would be in a much worse situation probably then i am now considering all the stuff ive been through so i would be for more countries setting a up a similar system possibly using Canada's or similar health care system as a base and improve the flaws but without taking away from the good parts.

That would mean Doctors don't get paid.. But we do have lot of doctors willing to donate their free time in helping people in need. As long we got kind heart Doctors.. I don't think that are nesscary.

Plus how will Doctors get paid if everything is Free? If everything is free, will our Government pay their pay check?

Care will be the same! Nothing will change! It said medical causes many house holds to fold when cancer or other major illnesses come calling! Yet regulations allowed companies like DuPont to dump chemicals into rivers for years! Causing those same cancers and major illnesses! Just one recent expample!

Not when taxes are already a burden on the people who low cost/free healthcare would most benefit in the first place. To be perfectly honest, pre-Obama healthcare was quite alright with me. The states are not all on the same page so a lot are subsidized healthcare and some aren't, so what's apparently "affordable" for me is actually triple what I used to pay--and for what? The national debt still rises, taxes remain the same, the cost of living and healthcare still goes up, and jobs don't pay more. The uninsured rate dropped some percents by forcing insurance on people above a certain income point, but the AHCA is just retarded.... the politicians in the United States are retarded.

Obama care isn't actually all that good of a health care system. i feel it was like someone throwing a bone to a dog but their was no meat or marrow in it.

You know what sucks? Going to the ER because you can't afford a doctor, finding out you've got shingles (which is the suck, by the way), him writing you prescriptions for pain meds and steroids....but you can't afford the $150 to get them. But, hey, that medical bill on your credit report isn't going away.

So.... yeah, currently have shingles. I hate my life in this moment.

Everyone debates healthcare till they're at the receiving end of the shitty stick. Free Healthcare is needed, there are probably millions of examples of people ending in debt from hospital bills. Our bureaucracy is a piece of shit. It's like, if you're poor, you're fucked.

ya a good affordable health care system can definitely be a life saver.with all the meds, surgeries misc medical equipment etc that some people need yet many wouldn't be able to afford.use to be heavily medicated myself though managed to reduce the numbers to just 2 comparatively minor ones compared to what i use to take.hope you get better as well

Tax some if that works,
Adjust to the rich or poor peoples income (who to tax what and how much and make everyone DO IT)
If some skips it and think its "fine"... its not good and makes the system a bit worthless and for those who don't benefit from it...

You take meds for some of those things?
Also taking more meds can make you need more of that stuff, hope you know whats good for you and those who are not.
With how americans use their antibiotics so much is a health/death hazzard.
Where these people think it "helps" but it also can make you resistant from it when you need it. (like the resistance of antibiotics)

(where getting a cold wouldn't matter, but after being so resistant.. it could mean death, so yeah.. its dangerous stuff)
