I have a lot of books to read, some from a library but I can't finish them in a quicker pace which I would like to do.

What's the fastest time you've read a novel with a few hundred pages?

I usually read 150-200 pages in two hours, a little bit less when I don't like the book. So yes I can read a book in a day

Yes, I read the Harry Potter book - The Order of the Phoenix in a single day. I couldn't remember half of it though lol.

That's pretty impressive, I think..! I rarely read actual books so I'm not sure myself, I'll test it one day soon!

I probably average around 100-150 pages per hour depending on a variety of factors, but in general a book is a good afternoon, and a with a series, well, sometimes I forget to go to sleep if it's a good set...

A couple of months ago I read the whole Witcher saga(8 books) in a week. So yes, I can read a book in a day. It has to be pretty interesting to me, though.

Yeah I've done it a couple times it just depends on if the book is good and if I don't want to do something else.

I think you can sort of "train" yourself by just reading a lot (doesn't have to be actual books). I wasn't reading this fast a year ago or something.

I'm only able to read a certain amount of pages an hr. Like only 1-2 mins a page, but its completely dependent on the way it was written. I know I'm slow, but whatever. I'm still trying to read. I guess I like to take in details more?

I've been able to read shorter books in a day. But anything longer than 200 pages, nope.

According to the Amazon Kindle app on my phone, I read books about 400-700 pages or so in about 8 hours, so I guess it doesn't matter much.

It depends on the book. Without losing retention, I read at about 1ppm, so I can finish a 300ish page novel in about 5 hours, but there are other factors. If it's boring or uninteresting, I find myself having to re-read parts (at best) or will drift off to sleep. Print density also matters; the closer together the lines are, the slower transitioning down the page becomes (ie: I might read the same line and inadvertently move to the beginning of the same line once I reach the end.)

I could, but I like to take my time and read them at my own pace. The fastest I've read a novel of that size is one week, and it was unpleasantly fast.
