I don't always keep count on how many pages or how long I read within a day, it's all about the experience you know?

I remember back in 4th grade I would read approx 20 pages in 20 minutes. Nowadays I can get through 20 pages in less, so I probably could. I'd have to be reading at the table though. I can't read a book in my bed or on the couch, it always makes me want to not read anymore lol

I can, but I don't tend to anymore. Prefer to listen to audiobooks, since I can do other things at the same time.

Once in high school, I read three books in one day. The Iliad, The Pearl, and Ender's Game. The Pearl is very short and Ender's Game is YA so the language is pretty light and easy to get through, but I still spent the entire day reading.

I usually only read non-fiction now. If I read an entire book in a day I would retain no information lol.

I can read a book in less than a day if I'm really into it. I've read each Harry Potter book in less than a day. Each on a separate day, of course.

It depends on the book. If it's something lighter with a lot of action in it, I can go through it quickly. But meaty books or hard sci-fi can take some time to digest so it'll be a lot slower. Usually I'll finish any kind of book within three or four days reading a few hours a night, but if it's teen or something small then I can finish it in a couple hours.

Yes but when I do, I'm here in my garage, just bought this new Lamborghini here. It’s fun to drive up here in the Hollywood hills. But you know what I like more than materialistic things? Knowledge. In fact, I’m a lot more proud of these seven new bookshelves that I had to get installed to hold two thousand new books that I bought. It’s like the billionaire Warren Buffett says, “the more you learn, the more you earn.”Now maybe you’ve seen my TEDx talk where I talk about how I read a book a day. You know, I read a book a day not to show off it’s again about the knowledge. In fact, the real reason I keep this Lamborghini here is that it’s a reminder. A reminder that dreams are still possible, because it wasn’t that long ago that I was in a little town across the country sleeping on a couch in a mobile home with only forty-seven dollars in my bank account. I didn’t have a college degree, I had no opportunities.

I think the only book I've read in a day is Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Which, by the way isn't even really a book. It's a script so it was very quick to read.

Besides that maybe Catching Fire? I was obsessed when I read the first book.

Yes, I read the Harry Potter book - The Order of the Phoenix in a single day. I couldn't remember half of it though lol.

this is why not to try reading a book in a day's time. sure you might get through it, but you will not have much grasp of the material.

It depends on the person really and I read them more than once so in my case it works out and I enjoy them constantly

yeah, that needs context, like anything

if its an enjoyable fiction novel, it doesnt really matter

but if its nonfiction and you are seriously interested in the material, it makes more sense to savor it like one savors bacon. I guess you can garbage it down, but I like to chew it until the flavor is gone especially when its good smokehouse bacon
