Idk, man. 99% of people in my country have never prayed in their life and we seem to do stuff just fine.

And also, the whole concept of praying to me is just wrong. I mean, you wish for something and you pray for it? What happened to actually working towards your goal/dream and not hand responsibility over to a fictional deity who would never do shit for you anyway?

Opinions, thanks.

You are the perfect example of why a separation between religion and state/federation needs to exist.

Interesting. So, how does attacking me personally prove anything?

You are my proof, my dear.

Banning Prayer in Public Schools Has Led to America's Demise
By Editorial Staff
Published May 1, 1988

by Gary Bergel

A recent statistical analysis by David Barton graphically illustrates how America has plummeted from righteous living, prosperity and success in the last quarter century. Consider the following chart compiled from his study, America: To Pray or Not to Pray. 1

As you might have already noticed on Mr. Barton’s graph, America’s moral decline rapidly accelerated following one event – the U.S. Supreme Court’s removal of prayer from our nation’s schools. On June 25, l962, 39 million students were forbidden to do what they and their predecessors had been doing since the founding of our nation – publicly calling upon the name of the Lord at the beginning of each school day.

Remainder of quoted content is under spoiler because it's very long:

This imho is a major cause of America'a decline,

Americas demise is not just because of one thing or another..

its the systematic desensitization of its People toward the plight of their neighbors.. caused by several "governmental institutions" that were meant to "help" people but actually helped them to stop being productive members of a society.. and more about helping them become permanent members of our overflowing prisons, coupled along with the natural tendency toward base greed within its capitalistic society.

the simple ideas of "hard work and clean living" have been "bred out" of America slowly but surely and I'm sure the prayer in schools thing was in there too..

this place hasn't looked or felt like the "America" I grew up in, in nearly 35 years.

I already have ahead of time. I expected this from someone like you. You're as dumb as any common man, and that reflects in your attitude and your laziness. IOW you don't 'know me, or any disingenuous naivite I might project unto you is proof of your foolhardiness. I'm well aware of the unpopularity, as you aren't keen on my grasp of your tactics.

As for the separation of church and state being good, well, that's your opinion. And if a hundred of you share it, or a thousand, or a hundred thousand, its still an opinion, and not proven it CANT work for good , a theocracy and whatnot. When a man with the cajones offers it up as a solution when yours fails (and rest assured it WILL ) we'll just have to see with whatever works then, won't we?

Also, as if anyone doesn't know this, but the separation of church and state came about by protestant quakers wishing to worship free of persecution, and was devoid of atheist sentiment. So its my turn to laugh.

I'm pretty sure it's more geared towards preventing people like this from having too big of a say in how things work here.

A shepherd, are we, protecting your flock? Oh, how pastoral of you.

No, no my dear, I leave it to the readers to make up their own damn mind as to what to make of it, and if its unfavorable, I'll live knowing this isn't the only place, if you call it that. To me, one place is as good as any to put forth ideas, and free will determines what you believe or don't (which is God's will to begin with.).

How do YOU know for sure? lol For what its worth, him, and the group he belongs to, is a troll haven @ Christians, and every other religion or set of beliefs THEY don't approve of. You will find this arrogant pride a common theme with the pseudo-Intellectual subculture. Not enough ask if they're really for what proclaim and not simply trolling believers of one system or all that don't conform with their groupthink. Its been done before and similar groups have been exposed for precisely that aim.
