Yes. Fixed it for you.

what evidence do you have for that god being the proper god if one even exists?

I don't need evidence, I have faith.

Then it's a matter of whether individuals' actions can impact their souls' fate, and furthermore what fates are possible. Some belief systems for this deity insist that peoples' fates are set in stone while others insist peoples' fates are impacted by their decisions. Some belief systems hold that sinners' souls are completely destroyed, others hold that souls are indestructible regardless but that sinners' will experience eternal torment, and others still hold that sinners' souls will experience only temporary suffering until they achieve inevitable salvation.

faith
strong belief in God or in the doctrines of a religion, based on spiritual apprehension rather than proof.. going by that logic the creator of the universe could be the flying spaghetti monster or any other god. and it seems clear that your not exactly the sort who is ok with others not following your religion's rules.

Some already know there is a God so I'm guessing this is for people who don't believe there is one already?

It all boils down to an individual's FAITH if any

I'd just continue being me. I won't ask for forgiveness, I won't worship him, and I would never, ever bow.

Mbombo.

On topic: ambivalent, if not apathetic... about the same reaction I would have if I suddenly discovered that Santa Claus has been real all of this time but only delivered shiny new toys to the children of well-to-do families while poor kids made do with hand-me-downs and a hot meal every Christmas: "Well, I was wrong, but you're still a f-ing prick. Lord Arceus awais us in the void! Blessing us with rare candy and infinite supply of Revives so you can keep dying in heaven and get back up!

However, if you have been bad, you will be sent to the distortion world, where you will be tormented by Giratina forever!

It terrifyingly funny to me that most people today have never bothered to try to get a grasp on the word "God" and attempt to understand what this concept truly means.
its impossible to have a discussion of something when obviously no one even understands what the word really means.

for a person... and it would have to be a "person" because an inanimate object could never withstand the basic test of definition of the word "God"
for a Person to be "God" he would have to be the ONLY one, because by definition "God" IS Supreme.
there can be no one higher.
their can not be more than one, as that would immediately require a hierarchy ranking system, and a Supreme God can not be "compared" also, the next phase of the basic definition will automatically rule that possibility out.

the next basic criteria of this definition is
1. God must be omnipotent. or All Powerful.
this means that there is NOTHING that he can not do, for him to NOT be able to do something, would negate the every idea of "God"
no one would or could accept the idea of a "limited God" every other star trek episode proves that idea.

2. God must be Omnipresent.. or everywhere all at the same time. for him to be limited to one space in time like ourselves, would never allow him to be "God" again, a Supreme God can have no limits.

3. God Must be Omniscient. or ALL knowing. this means that there is NOTHING that he would not already know... this example is as close as I can come within our very simple mindsets..
Think of it as sorta like having already seen the entire movie with a perfect memory.. and then seeing it a second time with your friends. you know whats coming which puts you at a secret advantage over your friends, although not for any devious purpose... (hopefully)

any one of these 3 basic criteria, if not met. would disqualify a person from being thought of as "God"

Having now clearly outlined a fair set of criteria for placing the title of "God" on a personage. and thinking carefully EXACTLY what all these things would mean this person to actually be...

then it would be wise at the very least to say that a person that truly wields ALL of these attributes.. should be treated with the deepest and utmost respect at the very least ( hence the term "God fearing") if you do not agree then you have lived a jaded and sheltered life indeed.

all that said. IF there is NO God. then everything you see around you.. MUST have happened by chance ONLY.... as that belief would mean that there was NO INTELLIGENCE involved in the making of EVERYTHING... the entire universe.

If you honestly and truly believe that.... then please feel free to go on your merry way.
I will pray for you.

but if you can see that there IS an intelligence, AT WORK DAILY within the workings of what we call "the Universe" or even just "our lives"

then congratulations, you believe in God...
and not Just "A" god. but THE God. the ONLY one. for there can be no other.

he may have more than one name.
he may have more than 1 face.
he might even work in mysterious ways that are extremely hard to pin point.

I would think that it would be MUCH better to have him as a friend than an enemy.... in fact I KNOW it is from personal experience. and I was a pretty serious skeptic until about a year ago.... WHEN i GOT MY BUTT HANDED TO ME.
but then He very kindly showed me where I was wrong, and put me on a MUCH better path, and now my life is awesome.

but THAT... IS the choice EACH one of us must make.. to believe in him .. or not. its that simple. he IS Supreme and yes He COULD wipe us all out.. but he actually LOVES us and only wants to be our friend. all this other crap is stuff Man has come up with to confuse the issue.
The Worship of God, doesn't come from being cocersed or forced into some sort of bizarre cult type slavery..
it comes from each one of us being grateful to him for being an awesome loving God who actually does help us daily.

as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord God Almighty..

Won't care at that point. Too late to do anything about it.

So your saying you'd blame God because he "forced" you not believe?

You make a very good point. I don't think people grasp the seriousness of the situation. Saying "oh well" seem to be quite the understatement.
