What are you watching from the current anime season?

I'm watching Bananya and Sweetness and Lightning. So far, enjoying them both.

What about you?

I've started Mob Psycho 100 and am absolutely stunned by the animation; that being said, I may hafta drop depending on how its portrayal of mysticism goes (I'm hoping it ends up like the first 9 episodes of Noragami, with surprisingly good lessons and some Christian themes, such as man's inability to save himself from hell no matter his works or the spiritual side of negativity/depression, but that's a whole post on its own). It's really great otherwise though, and I find it much more enjoyable than OPM to be honest. This Art Club Has a Problem has possibly the best romance/relationship dynamics I've seen in an anime but sadly the cheap fanservice and generally dull (save the two main characters' hilarious relationship) comedy have me thinking I'll drop it altogether. I'm also watching Tales of Zestiria the X, but purely because of how gorgeous the visuals are, so once the novelty wears off I may end up dropping it too. Overall, much as I like MP100, this season's not too engaging (I'm much too busy to watch anyway, opting to only watch the above with friends). Just finished up catching up on last season's My Hero Academia, though, and can't recommend it enough (language and one notably violent episode content warning, otherwise pretty tame).

So, mostly you're watching shows you are thinking of dropping That doesn't sound too fun.

Re:ZERO. It has a lot of tropes that I usually dislike (harem set up, video game world set up*, lolis out the you-know-what, etc.), but it's actually a very smart show with characters I actually care about.

*I don't think it's really a video game world, but there's little difference between the backdrops of Re:ZERO and SAO.

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable. I've already been watching JJBA for two years now and adore it.

I'm also watching Mob Psycho 100, too.

I'm watching Re Zero too though I'm a bit uncomfortable when the witch cult shows its face.. it has a scary feel and also coz I'm wary of occult stuff but I do think it's a nice show with great characters and lots of depth and mystery.. and I love Rem <3
Just started Sweetness and Lightning too and it is so cute

I'm watching a lot of the current shows. Mob psycho 100, 91 days, alderamin on the sky, RElife, Orange (highly recommend), bananya, and RE: zero.

Still watching JOJO, but it's been going on so long. I don't consider it a new show really.

Are we going to get a new thread for this current season (I don't have enough CR points to make one)?

Looks like the thread for the current season (Fall 2016) blended with the previous season. It threw me off at first when I was seeing titles from Summer.

So for the fall season I am watching several shows. There are a few noteworthy ones in my opinion this season, and several that are borderline for being dropped if they lose my interest.

Here are the ones I am most interested in right now:
Bungo Stray Dogs (Season 2) - A little darker than the 1st season, but it has caught my interest getting some of the backstory.
Wagnaria - The new set of characters through me off for the first couple of episodes, but it is proving to be just as entertaining as the first 3 seasons.
Poco's Udon World - Okay so I have a strange habit of giving everything a shot (unless I know right off the bat that it has content I don't want to see), and this one has surprised me. I think this is going to be a great slice-of-life for this season.
Izetta: The Last Witch - Amazing graphics and story line with this one. There has been a little fanservice (which really surprised me...they didn't need it), but that has been so minimal that I haven't felt a need to drop the show.
March Comes in Like a Lion - Graphics are a little more rough than other shows, but the characters (specifically the sisters) are so engaging that I find it is one of my favorites this season (i.e. great character development).

On another note I think I have watched Shelter a dozen times now. An amazing music video.

Yea, it was started during the Summer season and just continued on as current anime watched.

And yea, Shelter is awesome.

I was pretty excited about a Sailor Moon style French animation called Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir (see full episodes here on nick.com).

The animation itself is outstanding, but the storyline (at least for the first season) is monotonous and predictable with very little real character development. It's a shame, considering how long it takes for them to complete a single episode and how much more they could do with the main characters. Hopefully, season 2 will delve deeper into backstories and the existance of the other Miraculous users.
