Let me know if a thread like this one exist or not.
Thanks a bunches.

So, can I use the GOT(Game of Thrones) chapter style for my story, even though there are only four main characters? I'm having a bit of trouble with how the chapter should go. This story is strictly for me so nobody will see it. Don't worry I have another story in mind later. So could it work?

Enjoy!!!

It's when you name a chapter after a character.

Example: Chapter One: Denise.

Really lol?

K I guess it makes sense now. Well it really depends if you can actually make those chapters work with that many characters. Like you could just name your other chapters after conflicts or events that your specific character will go through.

Like chapter 1 character1, chapter 2 character 2, and so on

Then like chapter 5 it could be, the rise of character 1, chapter 6 the dismay of character 2, or whatever

So yeah you could definitely work it out with that style

I have four characters and I want each character to get their own chapter. Are you saying it should be okay? Because it is only four characters and won't it be weird to give them each their own chapter. Granted this story is strictly for me so it wouldn't be too weird, right?

of course it will be ok, I think it would actually be fun to implement such a style. It gives you a better idea of what to focus on in all honesty.

Although I do love to have unique chapter titles, there is nothing wrong with doing something like this, so give it a try

I have four characters simultaneously and five (and a half) characters total who are main characters in my story (meaning that we see the story from there perspective). I don't think its ever really confusing what is going on or that the character swapping is ever jarring, so I don't think that it becomes necessary.

That said, it can work stylistically. Totally up to you.

I've actually been contemplating removing my chapter titles. I'm not really sure if they are adding anything to my story.

Well the way I see it, they can work out to be names for episodes. That's actually how I started writing my chapters. I would write them, set up a timer, imagine filler scenes, read them and get to about 20 minutes or so. It really does help me organize my writing in a way. Just a fun thing to do instead of just writing
