Happiness is fleeing :/

When you're depressed you need to work through it, even being happy takes work

Ugh

Depression sucks big time. Mix it with anxiety and its even worse. Sorry you have to experience it, people don't realize how horrible it really is.

Same. It frustrates me when those that commit suicide due to clinical depression are chastised for it. Doesn't matter how happy their life was or how "good they had it" people just don't understand that depression is a medical condition. You can't just make yourself feel happy. Its like drowning in darkness and no matter what you do, say, or think you can't escape.

Depression really sucks. Last July I tried to take my own life but couldn't do it. Was hospitalized for 2 weeks, and just when I thought I might be able to become stable again, i had to put my beloved cat to sleep because of kidney failure. To this day I still think I made the wrong decision by not killing myself.

I have no idea why I'm sharing this, but it feels good to tell someone, even if they are complete strangers.

I'm dealing with some depression too. Life seriously suck right now. It's not fun at all. I use to be so optimistic about everything. Now I've 180 into being a pessimist

True. I thought you were online. But Crunchyroll was so messed up due to Dragon Ball Super simulcast so I wasn't sure.

Im currently not feeling 100% right now so I've decided to make this thread.

90% of my depression comes from boredom, maybe find a hobby or way to be pro-active. If not you can just sulk until you're ready for a change I don't know your mental constitution but that can be an eternity for me unabided by people so surround yourself with people.

I kind of know what you mean with depression. Don't mean to sound like a snob, but coming from someone that's seeing therapists for depression and anxiety, I find that when people tell you to just "be happy", it infuriates me a little.

Being aware that you are depressed and willing to help yourself is a very lucky trait you possess, and you're more likely to succeed in getting out of the depression with it. A lot of people are not so lucky however, some do not know that they are depressed, some do not know what happiness feel like. Some refuse the help and end up hurting themselves more.

I don't know if this is any helpful to you, especially coming from someone who is only 15 years old.

Though, you are trying, and no matter how slow you move, as long as you keep moving forward, you'll get there!
