A lot of states prohibit teaching about contraception. Not coincidentally, these states typically have higher teen pregnancy rates.
Some think condoms are evil or should not be used because... silly views, as they might regret the decision they have made.

They're not clueless. They are misinformed and may not know what a healthy relationship looks like or good dating skills.

They don't know what consent is. That sickens me, as I don't even have to take a sex ed class to know what that is.

Maybe also, don't know how to develop one or see where to improve.
As it seems more fails to get out of wrong patterns, or not able to go around a broken staircase, but insted falling down the same one over and over again or not fixing it to get over it.

Totally. Watch Mean Girls first though (I think that was the movie). The movie had a bad sex ed teach.

Most likely in America and some German guy clearly stated that in his country, sex education is taught in elementary school.

They know about sex but mostly through hearsay, porn, and the biological components they teach in sex ed. So they get a lot of conflicting viewpoints and often incorrect or not quite correct information. Combine that with raging hormones and it is like tossing gasoline on a fire.

I think it's more of a combination of not really knowing about it but thinking they know everything (or at least everything they need to). Couple that with raging hormones and the typical youthful sense of invincibility and you have a dangerous mix.

If they want it that badly, yes. That would be one indication.

(In adulthood, sex becomes like driving--It's your entire world in your teen years, but once you grow up, straighten out your hormones and settle down independently, it becomes just one other darn thing you have to do.)

I'm pretty sure they'll learn it by watching porn video that their parents left behind!
